Over 35 years half heartedly picking up the guitar, inside desperate to play, shit happens, learning difficulties, low self esteem, lost opportunities, depression, pick it up again the other day along with a couple of lessons on youtube, ignored most of it but some great advice i did take and practiced technique most days for the last three weeks, especially folling the suggestions to leave the guitar out so you can pick it up easily and to not tell yourself you need to play for any particular amount of time, the more you pick it up the longer you will probably play anyway, so no need to pressure yourself, just a gentle kick when you see the instrument will do, if you can’t tell i am feeling full of positivity after learning this song, one of the best always after all. Today was looking like one of the ordinary ones until youtube gave me this suggestion, finally nearly got this song up to a level i can bear to listen to myself practice, such an easy lesson to follow, i think i finally am able to remember all the chords i am playing, thanks i think to your format of showing the two different diagrams, cannot thank you or recommend this video highly enough. It is likely never too late, while you have the required limbs and appendages at least, no matter what anyone else, or those voices in your head might try and tell you.

WOW you are good. I've heard a million people try to cover Bowie and I've never once been moved. This one gave me chills!

Those straight up chords with very little embellishment will do that to weak minded people

Thanks for this Chanel, I am sixty and started teaching myself with a cheap classical guitar a month or so ago. I am just consolidating some basic chords recently and obviously struggling with barring but I will get it. My two daughters Bobby and Bobo (11 and 15) are learning but much more advanced at least Bobo is anyway. Bobby concentrated on violin these past years. It was really nice to sea the minimum of barring in the Bowies piece you played it beautifully. Its really odd to leave it so long or late to learn an instrument that is the language of so many of my music heroes. I practice every night without fail and my left finger tips are sore but I am determined to be able to play some nice tunes with my daughters. Thanks for your Chanel we really appreciate it.

Shit! Just had to comment. I just listened to this again for about the sixth time but this time i wasn’t trying to learn, just lay down to relax, lights off and fuck that was exquisitely done, Bowie would be proud, many others might be a little envious of that cover. Thanks again for this video.

I love your play throughs. They are just what I need. Thanks! One small suggestion here; I like the Bb maj7 rather than just Bb. Saw that in a book many years ago and while I don’t put a lot of stock in books I kind of like that maj7 sound there. Thanks again.
