If you're not familiar with a channel called Shutup & Play you should check it out. I've been playing guitar for 30 years and I find Shutup & Play to be the most accurate "how to play..." guitar channel on KZbin. Nothing against Guitar Pilgrim, he's excellent too.

only problem is that he has a ego problem, and ever so subtly has a condescending undertone in all his videos
@johnheart68904 жыл бұрын
@@BenPotts This guy, I guy I don't even know who dedicates so much time and effort to make great videos, giving away lots of secrets that took him years to perfect - for FREE on the internet, offering nothing but praise to all the musicians he covers, and giving lots of encouragement to people learning to play. I guess enthusiasm and joy is just too suspicious for some - but not for me! Guitar Pilgrim you rock! Forever!

Maybe going a step further (or 10) and trying to analyze John Williams music (the movie composer, not the crazy guitar player) from the perspective of a guitar. Just to astonish ourselves and make you work a lot.

John williams orchestration is deeply influenced by Thaikovsky... If it weren't for Tchaikovksy there wouldn't have been a Star wars soundtrack

Really interesting. I'm checking a few sites that talk about similarities between William's music and several classical composers. It seems like John W. took a lot from here and there.
