Time and use are enormous factors for delicate acoustic instruments. I'm betting that many of those modern attempts at the Torres will sound spot-on in another 100 years. (Assuming they receive the reverent care that any guitar built by Torres and played by Tarrega will have received...) It would be interesting to see a current maker's attempts using torrified and regular woods, side by side.

Excellent history, thanks for this 👏! I hope GSI can do more review videos on the actual guitars in the future, like some other guitar shops do. I definitely enjoy the performances, but I'd also like to know about the woods, construction, luthier, etc. and hear some example pieces played so I know what it might sound like were I to buy it myself.
