Just shows what a lifetime of hard work and dedication can produce. Fantastic that Tommy is so giving and willing to pass on what he has learnt and that it is now captured forever. It really does open the door for someone to potentially follow in his footsteps. Compliments to Guitar World for making this series of tutorials available. Well done and please provide more. :)

It shouldn’t be too hard. The man tours like the Grateful Dead used to. Non stop. I’ve seen him four times in the past year. Twice in Iowa, once in Minnesota and once in Wisconsin. He plays all over the country. The world in fact. Just go see him.

Long time ago I went to see Tommy with my DAD, we waited after to meet him he was a very nice genuine person... My Dad on the other hand completely messed up my digital camera and I never recovered the photo of Tommy and me getting a nice hug on!

A generous, decent and ( of course, ) GREAT player . Willing to discuss his methods and ideas. I used to be friends with a great guitarist who was the opposite. . . My wife used to tell me he was jealous and felt threatened.. too bad , so sad.. haven’t spoken to him in years …………. But anyway, Tommy Emmanuel is just so G R E A T ! Makes me wonder why I have any guitars at all . .

That guy has superhuman left hand strength. Nobody else makes a melody sustain like that. Just wow. That to me is the genius of Tommy. Not the flashy fast stuff. This.
