The amount of professionalism Andrew carries in his left hand alone is quite stunning. If a guy didn't know any better, they might be blown away at the fact he does vocals in the song also. Strictly guitar here tho folks! Love it

I thought Andrew added a lot of depth to DGD's live shows and latest recordings. A lot of talent for sure.

I went to High school with Sergio. We werent friends or anything ( no beef or nothing like that just different cliques). Still kinda crazy seeing a dude you had history class with in a magazine youve been reading literally most of your life.

That song is amazing. The composition is going out of bounds and I love it. Very controlled and keeps the listener entertained and engaged. Sick polymeter riff in the middle, beautiful melodies, amazing intro riff. Everything here is perfect.

Yeah, but Eidola also got influences from New Progressive Rock movement stuff like The Mars Volta and Circa Survive, this song don't really shows those things tho.

^I would personally looove a playthrough/music video of the closer. I love how, right before it changes to the totally instrumental ending, there's that tiny moment where he and his wife are singing along with Matt screaming "I know you're starting to believe the end justifies the means"- such a small moment but its just sooo powerful how thats like the one moment in the whole album with all three of them coming together in unison. I also love the huge breakdown with "om ah hum" in that song too (which you should google the meaning of that phrase if you don't already know that- very "cool" meaning), along with "Narakka" from the chorus- SUCH a cool song all around. Same with Perennial Philosophy, while the song itself is based on the book, the book is about how all religions refer to the same thing and I've started reading it after listening to an interview with Andrew (the singer/main person behind the album) and hearing him describe it. Eidola's seriously one of if not my favorite band because past the absolutely awesome music itself, the lyrics always have suuuuch depth.

Not sure why people are disliking this, pretty great playthrough imo.

Probably because of the weird song structure and the screaming

Oh wow I was thinking "wow no dislikes that's awesome" but I guess KZbin must've just rolled out the update where you can't see the number of dislikes anymore. Dang- felt good to see absolutely everyone appreciating Eidola but I guess that's not the case lol.

^. This was my least favorite song on the album (although I love the end of it). I think if Jon wasn't on it, it wouldn't have nearly the amount of attention it received. But still with that said, I serrriously loved the album and it is absolutely in my top 10 and for sure my number 1 of this year at the very least.
@DatHombre3 жыл бұрын
At least check out Empty Gardens and if you'd be willing, Elephant Bones. Those miiiight be my personal favorites but again, the album as a whole is superb (A lot of people also seemed to really Love Caustic Prayer and while I liked it, Id personally say it was, along with this song, far from the best off the album, but you could try that one too if you really wanted to!)
