I seriously think that Avatar is one of the most unterrated bands, not just from a songwriting/conceptual perspective, but also their pure musicial talent. A lot of their riffs are reeeaaally difficult and when they're playing live, they'll always add some small details to it like little harmonics, hammer-ons/pull-ofs and all that stuff, to make it even more interesting: For example that little notes that Tim plays around 1:16 aren't included in the studio version, they are just improvised. And unlike some other bands, who just shred and alternate pick with heavy distortion, they also have beautiful clean guitar parts, that really show their talent. And obviously Johannes has an incredibly powerful and versatile voice. His voice range is great and I don't know many vocalists who are that good at both clean voice and shouts/growling.

BIG respect and love for the players and the playing. Avatar is great - excellent composition and musicianship. Whoever edited this video should be fired. There is NO place in a great video like this for close up face shots unless they are shooting lasers out of their eyes.

Sherman Smith, You are so correct on this statement you made. People are so damn quick to judge others by what they look like. The heart inside them, the twinkle in the eyes etc. If these people have negative remarks let them go somewhere else and judge.

Zero Gray, You can't expect to go pick up a guitar and start playing. It takes hours per day. Every day of hard work. I have been playing electric and acoustic 5 years now and still can't get that F chord. That's why they call if the F. chord. It's to Fricking hard to play. Just keep practicing dude. My fingers had blisters on the top and hurt all the time too. After that, they will calloused. Just be patient and don't give up. Butterfly9

All you need is the wide shot. People who look up these videos want to see both of them playing, at all times. if they care about a specific part of the song played by a specific guitarist, they will simply look at that guitarist during that part. Don't cut away from the lead during an impressive part of the song (1:52 and 2:05 are early examples) The cut aways to their faces for expressions or one of their hands performing crazy inhuman movements is nice and all but it's unnecessary. Sorry, but it happens so often and so quickly into the video that I was baffled by it. TLDR; All you need is the wide shot...

I saw Avatar live at the Blue Ridge rock festival 2021, alot of new bands use the same formula when writing, and the same tuning, Avatar stood out the most to me because they don't sound like anyone else, they are great musicians, killer hooks in their songs, they stole the show for me, totally want to see them again.

Tim & Jonas, you make those strings burn. Let It Burn. I 've listened to many bands before and you two are smoking hot. First cd, the first song I ever heard and caught me was, "The King Welcomes You To Avatar Country." The second song that sealed the deal to go out and buy them is "Hail The Apocalypse." Keep up the great work men and I will keep on buying. I love you all. Be safe out on the road. Love You Much, Butterfly9

I love these guys, such a great overall sound and tone, and they can freakin' play. Lots of head-banging riffs, but lots of cool, prog metal type signatures, licks and solos. Late answer bit I think who ever made this costume made a mistake. It looks like a Swedish folk inspired costume from around late 1700s to early 1800s. The knee tassels are supposed to be attached to the suspenders holding the socks in place. On the costumes in the video, they are instead sewn to the pants. On the lower part of the pants should instead be a strap with a buckle.
