Pr Stines. I'm french and i follow your guitars lessons since many years now. I can't understand 100% of your words but maybe 75. It' s not a problem because you show what you say on your guitars (what a crazy collection of beauties). You're for me the best teacher on line and i can't now follow the lesson on a random guy for 50 $. I made some progress with you it was unimaginable to me several years ago to imagime i was able to start a solo just like this, and blues too. It's absolutely the results of your talent Mr Stine. You're litteraly the teacher who every musician want to have. So a big thank you for your help, your patience to continue your videos with this rythm and this serious. You are sure made some of the future greatest shredders. Thx again Pr. Salut de France. Marko

Well I just watched this tutorial and I can now do a little solo in A. I'm a slow learner but it's all about the teacher in my opinion. Thank you very much from Scotland.

Ditto here my brother from another mother. I am 70 period. I started fiddling with guitar when I was 10. I was blessed enough to have my parents hook me up with private guitar lessons. As I recall I was on theory overload and barely learned to play Silent Night Holy Night, notes only. I tried, but not very hard to pick up a guitar in the ensuing years several times. This occurred before the internet existed. Then about 7 years ago I discovered Steve Stine on KZbin and was blown away by how successfully he was able to translate his very high level of knowledge and skill into guitar skill acquisition by the layman. About 4 years ago I blew up each of my shoulders individually over about a 2 year period. After that I really began to dig in. Then a year and a half ago I required left wrist surgery. That set me back considerably. 6 Months ago I had the same surgery on my right and due to the methdology perused in the surgery I am just now recovering from the right hand surgery. All the while that I really could not play much at all I have watched and listened to Steve. This cat is a beautiful human being and one hell of a guitar teacher. Stick with him, is the best advice that I can give you. He is Peerless!

Excellent. I'm excited to try this technique but I'm stuck on a question (others have alluded to): If you use the Am position (5th fret) as you've shown, your not playing the notes of an A (major) - you're playing the notes of a C (major). Wouldn't you go to it's relative minor (F#) and play the 6 notes there using the same technique (B, C#, E, F#, A, B)?

Hi Steve. What if it's in the minor chords? Does that 6 notes apply and where do you place it? Thanks for all your tutorial videos. God bless you!
