Hey Pixxy. I saw a Jason McNamara video where there was you, Tone King & Philip McKnight talking about things. You said you wanted to give back all the hospitality you had been shown by Warwick/Framus at GuitCon. This video alone is starting to pay that back in spades. I cannot wait to see Part 2.....

Sound is jus hilarious. Not only someone is breathing loudly but also stock music 😅

This is a very interesting video. I can appreciate the process they use to age and dry the wood to get it stable before processing to avoid warping later on.

Pixxy thanks this was a great video. Good job of catching it all... That's just an amazing amount of wood. Certainly a testament to people listening with their eyes as well as their ears... Some gorgeous wood there.

Good video, I've seen the other walk arounds but god to see the production guy talking about stuff rather than people guessing about stuff

Very cool Pixxy. Sometimes I get so caught up in the beautiful end result, ya forget about what goes into it. These guys sure do seem to have their $h!t together.

Outside of aesthetics, it seems like a waste of money purchasing and storing all that exotic wood. I mean, you know, because tone woods of course don't make a difference. < Sarcasm off > Nice video!
@richardhuckle57157 жыл бұрын
kurt singer x. Not really, as the wood has a value and if they don't use it, they probably sell it on. There are other musical instrument factories in the area. And probably furniture manufacturers also. So potential for profit.
@Spidouz7 жыл бұрын
Then it's a good thing that the main reason to have many kind of (exotic) woods is mostly for aesthetics... and therefore it's not a waste of money and the whole tonewood argument is just irrelevant here.
@Macsk8ing7 жыл бұрын
It's more a looks and feel kind of thing, a cheap guitar made out of cheap plywood will feel light and cheap, a good guitar with good wood will feel great.
@zagan17 жыл бұрын
They have the wood so they can just go and get it and start working straight away. Instead of wasting time trying to find and buy it some wood and some woods you can't even get let alone can't buy

I love working with wood amazing Library of woods. They are an amazing outfit no doubt. But I can see how they keep it running ? Let alone fly all yall over & feed you host a 5 day event….??? Tax write off maybe in Germany this is allowed? But I've never seen a Framus Gtr except the old parlor guitars made years ago that pop up on Craig's list from time to time bolt on acoustic guitars. But not that many Warwick bass's except for the Pros that use em. I'm in awe of the workmanship I don't like the styles except the SG one based on a Gibson SG Bass. But Thicker those are really cool but I'd want a neck pup. But the price I can't see paying that much for a guitar . It would have to be a Gibson atlest w/a Gibson whether it's worth a flip or not…. it will be worth more $$$ years from now. The Framus guitars resell in America I don't know how good they hold their value on the market? Great Company it seems.

If blind they'd build them out of pallets and we'd be happy souls. People pay $$$$$ for appearance.
@szczerzo7 жыл бұрын
That's what Henning convinced them to do. They will build a neck and fretboard out of wood that was used to support all the wood at storage.
