Masala Puri is a must with a hot cup of tea. Today we will make this masala puri in a slightly different and tasty way. This puri recipe is very quick to make and is simply tempting. I have added some special masalas to make this yummy Gujarati puri recipe different and tasty. This puri recipe in Gujarati can be enjoyed with batata nu shaak too. Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 Cups of Wheat Flour (Gehun Ka Atta)
1 Cup Semolina (Rava)
1-2 Teaspoon Green Chilli-Ginger (Hari Mirch-Adrak) Paste
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
1 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
1 Teaspoon Pav Bhaji Masala
1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
1 Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
1 Teaspoon Kasuri Methi
Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
Salt
Oil
Water
Procedure:
1. Take wheat flour, add semolina, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhana jeera powder, pav bhaji masala, cumin seeds, carom seeds, kauri methi, coriander leaves, green chilli-ginger paste and mix well.
2. Add some water and knead a firm dough for puri. Cover it and let it rest for 10 minutes.
3. Roll out puris.
4. Heat oil for deep frying puris, deep fry the puris well. Masala Puri is ready.

Thanks, I lost my dear² mother to cardiac arrest on 17th Nov last year. She was the soul of the house. She was otherwise quite healthy. She had made poori (slightly thinner) & farsan for Diwali just a few days before for sending to neighbours. My favourite way to remember her is to make what she used to make for us at home.
