When whole world of Chess was looking and preparing against Pragg n Nihal, on an honest note Gukesh and Arjun came as out of syllabus for them. Specially Gukesh as he was shakky at top level so people misunderstood his rest of the journey. Carlsen is GOAT n Vishy too but the Impact created by Vishy in India compare to what Carlsen's impact done for Norway is a massive difference. Vishy is not only ageless or GOAT only but he is also one of the major reason why India is now dominating the world.

tbh vishy being a monster at chess isnt what revolutionarised chess in india, its vishy's active participation in growing the sport by working extremely hard. its on carlsen to actually work towards it aswell. Him being the goat wont be enough.

Haha, I know exactly those kinds of people who try to discuss with you on things they and you both are good at and when they want to learn everything out especially when you have "bested" them in that area in some sense. You'd try to be as polite as possible and maybe you're also getting some enthusiasm from it but at some point it might drag on longer than you think and they wouldn't be attentive or self aware enough to understand that. But, it is what is. It is not always the case and it anyways doesn't drag forever anyways. And in any case, there's nothing particularly horrible about those kinds of people or situations. I just couldn't resist typing it out. lol Of course, there is a chance albeit not a big chance, that it does not apply to this Param and Gukesh situation or even any situation involving top chess players.
