I'm not an Indian and I feel overwhelmingly proud of these boys. I've been following them for a while (including Nihal Sarin) and you can literally see them rise from the bottom, struggling for the sake of their passion for the game. It is not easy to rise to the upper echelons of the chess world, especially so young. It speaks to their unwavering dedication to the game. Win, loss or draw, the attitude is the same, to learn and to grow always. Congrats team India, you are an inspiration to the rest of the world, something to try to emulate. So special!

Gukesh and Arjun leading the Indian Open team to dominance was awe inspiring, but I am far more captivated by the Women's team and their journey to gold. A dominant start was halted by Poland and USA, but the women stayed resilient, won a critical match with China and put an exclamation point on their victory with a defiant win over Azerbaijan. Seeing Harika overcome with emotions, finally capturing gold in what she said could be her final Olympiad, truly heartwarming. Hats off to you, India, enjoy the celebrations!!

Together they have won 16 women world championships titles. This was so heart warming... So many emotions and the camaraderie in the team shows...i wonder if the other big countrys' teams have so much fun and banter going on... Chess is generally considered to be a nerdy game and most of the preparation is done alone, but somehow these guys have forged friendship over the years... And Sagar Shah has a big role to play in bringing together everyone. It may have started with the intention of his channels views but it has come to a point wherein Sagar is considered official Indian member for large part. Even when the team India won, everyone came to Sagars stream to celebrate. Even the most shy ones feel comfortable opening up to his Sagar and Amruta. This dominance of India at world chess with a surgical execution at Olympiad is exemplary and difficult to replicate. I see this decade being dominated by Indian players and hope the next celebration is of Gukesh winning World Championship. I had been a chess player till 1984, when I was a seeded at under 16 nationals and witness to the first two national titles of Anand at Goa and Delhi. Abhijeet Kunte was yet to play a national tournament then and Diyva Deshmukh's father ( Anup Deshmukh) used to play under 19 ! I lost interest in Chess during college days but my interest in club level chess was revived after arrival of Magnus Carlsen. With this Olympiad dominance by Indian prodigies, I am sure that there would be a new revival of Chess in India. I wish all the best for this Indian team who have won 4 individual and 3 team Golds! I look forward to watching Gukesh win Championship in November. Thanks for the live broadcast and all good wishes!

I don't know much about chess but this Olympiad make me very very curious and emotional with the end result. Oh my god... What a feeling, I can't describe it in words, there are so many moments, listening our national anthem at world stage, seeing the happiness of vishy sir, the dance moves from gukesh , the adorable gesture from boys for vishy sir, uncontrollable emotions on the face of girls.... Oh my God 🙂

@@shubhsrivatava777What makes you to say he is better than Arjun have you seen their death match where Arjun won by marjin of 2 points both of them are equally strong having their own strength and weaknesses I love both

He would one day dominate even magnus .. he is just 18 and and his graph is basically 📈while magnus has a neutral graph , he is already peaked and for Gukesh we don't even know what would be the limit .. he is just getting started , beating no. 2 fabi is a great statement for that , and FYI Fabi is actually not too far from Peak magnus in classical , so I guess in upcoming years Gukesh might leave magnus behind @@BankerJaipur
