Love when you take us on trips to these precious old perfume houses. I imagine being there as well, sniffing different oils while looking at all of the amazing antique artistically cut crystal bottles filled with assorted colors of fragrance oils. I would love to visit India. Thanks for this video and your very passionate perfume friends ~❤🔥🎵🌹🌵💥✔🐾🌟❗

I have a vintage perfume bottle with French crown shaped stopper with no label. It Has a wooden tubular container also without label and it is in my collection since 65 years, earliarit belonged to my father. After Much research I found that it was the product of old Delhis Gulabsingh Johrimul!!

Wow...this is breathtakingly spectacular. You have one of the best fragrance channels on KZbin and the quality of your content in this video is second to none. I LOVE the documentary style format. Please do more things like this. I am a Canadian with Pakistani and Afghan roots but I love Indian culture and food as well. Being a vetiver lover, I bought Ajmal Ruh al-Khus off your recommendation and am eagerly awaiting it in the mail! Kudos to you sir. I also have to say I love centuries-old perfumes still in production as well. Do you know of any others (from any cultural background)? I personally love Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum (traditional cologne of the Carribean and of pirates and sailors from there), as well as 4711 Eau de Cologne (first cologne ever made, 200 years ago in the city of Cologne, Germany; and used by Napolean Bonaparte himself as well).

And I saw you got some - I'm very jealous. I hope you make more detailed video about the stuff you got there like Kadamba and Harsingar Attar. Do you know any perfumes using Kadamba Attar? Thanks again!

Thanks bhai for uploading this video. I have read about this shop in "The Hindu" Newspaper couple of years ago. And Your video is even more informative. I ordered the below attars from this shop today (May 10 2019) and they do Ship their product to different parts of India. Here is the price of the products I ordered. I ordered both Pure ones and mass market ones to see the difference. In total I paid 6310. Hope this is that what they charge their customers in their shop. I will use these products for a month or two and add my comments . 1. Kadamba 2.5ml (natural 1460) = 1000/- 2. Kadamba 2.5ml (cost effective 025) = 40/- 3. Harshringer 2.5ml (natural 1460) = 1000/- 4. Gulhina 2.5ml = 900/- 5. Ruh Rajnigandha 2.5ml (natural) = 2500/- 6. Rajinigandha 2.5ml (cost effective) = 25/- 7. Oudh Amiri 2.5ml = 150/- 8. Cooler Perfumes - Rajinigandha - 100ML = 150/- 9. White Gold oudh 2.5 ML (cost effective) = 150/- 10. Other Popular Woody/Dark/Bold OUDH 2.5ML (Cost effective one) = 250/- 11. YSL La nuit De'lHomme - Clone 2.5ML (cost effective one) = 50/- Total = 6215/- Courier charges = 95/- (To Chennai) Total amount to be deposited = 6310/- I've tried various (& somewhat expensive) fragrances in the last 15 years (ADG profumo, code, sauvage, code profumo, eau fraiche, YSL lanuit, one million, L'dssey to name few) BUT a cheap oudh attar oil named YBZ (6ml = Rs300) which I bought in a shop in Chennai (Shah Attar - Triplicane) smelled way way better than those french fragrances. But still French Fragrances are good too. Could you please recommend us some good Oudh Attars (dark/woody/bold note). Personally for me Oudh is the best and long lasting fragrance. One that I applied Yesterday morning on neck, the smell still stays inside my bike helmet after 36 hours and still stays strong and smells great.

Hello Vijay. I am also interested in buying a few attars from the same place. Kindly share your reviews on the ones you have ordered. Do comment on their performance in terms of longevity and overall scent profile (for example, how close are the natural attars to the real flowers' scent ; how complex / linear did the attars feel post application / performance of clones ). Also, did you approach them and place the order via mail or by directly calling them? I would appreciate any inputs from your side on the above issues.

@@vroopa780to be honest I didn't like any of the fragrances I bought so far. These fragrances are somewhat different from French perfumes. I am still trying these fragrances as it would it take some time to understand the fragrances. I will let you know once after few weeks or months about how it works. It doesn't have silage nor projection. At this point I may not considering buying it again but it's still work in progress. Out of all those I bought white oud gold is somewhat ok.

@@Vijay-gu4jl Hey. Thanks for writing back. I bought 3 attars from Lucknow's Sugandhco's onlinescentkart.com - Gil/mitti which is an experience attar and not expected to last or project; Jash e oudh (sweet candy rose opening) and Hasrat e oudh (dirty brown almost pungent vegetal opening) were both synthetic yet moderate lasting with slight changes from top to drydown (both settle down into a sweet powdery woody scent). I also have attars from M L Ramnarain - Kashmir, Jannat-e-ward, Ruh Khus. Lastly I tried perfumesteal.com (TF tuscan leather, Creed GIT, Montale Black Aoud & TF costa azzurra). All these attars sit cIose to the skin. I would appreciate it if you could suggest any online source for buying attars / oudh based fragrances having good sillage & projection. The first six from your list are single-note oils / soliflors , while most of the french perfumes are a chorus of many notes playing together. Also, the perfumes you have tried over the years seem to be mostly designer fragrances, while the natural ruh-attars you ordered,though seemingly simple soliflors, are used by niche perfume artists to create daring perfumes (not meant to be crowd pleasers). It is appreciable on your part to take the time and effort to understand these fragrances. I can't wait to hear about your reviews after you have worn them for some weeks. Might I suggest that you could use the first six oils for layering with other french perfumes ( for example, you could try layering any summer/citrus/freshie/aquatic/marine/aromatic woody perfume or even deodorant with the white floral oils like Rajnigandha / Harsringer (literally a few dabs of oil on the exact part where you spray the perfume/deo).
@Vijay-gu4jl
@Vijay-gu4jl 5 жыл бұрын
@@vroopa780It's nice to hear about your experience and Thanks for your recommendations and suggestions. I will definitely try to mix the Attars which french Fragrances to see how it works. Rajinigandha stays on skin for a very long time but it doesn't smell like a final product, so as you suggested I will try to mix it up with other fragrances (probably with Dior sauvage or eau fraiche) and see how it works. I am also looking to buy some fragrances from M L Ramnarain like Ruh Khus (most importantly), Shamama, Attar Mitti and Kashmiri. Can you please tell how Ruh Khus and Kashmiri smells? Is it worth buying? For me he has quoted the below price for his attars plus shipping and tax. Did he quote you for similar price? and Is it worth buying? 1. Ruh Gulab...............................Rs. 2000.00 per 1 gm 2. Ruh Khus.................................Rs. 1200.00 per 10 gm 3. Ruh Motia................................Rs. 1350.00 per 1 gm 4. Ruh Kewra...............................Rs. 650.00 per 1 gm 5. Ruh Mehndi..............................Rs. 3000.00 per 1 gm 6. Shamama.................................Rs. 1000.00 per 10 gm 7. Jannat e Ward..........................Rs. 500.00 per 10 gm 8. Attar Mitti..................................Rs. 500.00 per 10 gm 9. KASHMIR 192191.....................Rs. 1000.00 for 10 gms · Plus cost of shipping. · Pus applicable taxes Answering to your questions, I am not aware of any online stores that sell Oudh. But all cities and towns should have a local Attar shop where they should have a variety of oudh oil. It's also safe to buy it from them after sampling it (especially with Attars). I would have sampled nearly 100+ Attars and own nearly 50+ of them but so far liked only 2 or 3. One is a dark/sweet oud and other one is a copy of Tom ford oud wood. Between how was your experience with online attar buying? Did it meet your expectations? In future I might buy Swiss Arabian Shagaf Oud and Swiss Arabian Shagaf Oud Abhayad as these are oud based fragrances and have great reviews in terms of performance and quality of scent.

Everytime I hv to wait for some relative to make a trip bck to lndia nd get me my favourites from Saffora or the likes of it. Since l got a taste of how heart breaking an experience with the fakes can be ....a few months ago, l decided to try out more natural and traditional fragrances which have lesser chances of being fake and can be purchased from the actual manufacturers of 'itra' or 'attars'. Very recently l had somebody visit us from lucknow and l had requested them for an attar... just to give it a try. So l got 4-5 bottles of attars like Sama ,Fida, Hawa f etc.. by Sugandh and Co. They smell ok... some smell gud too . Ordered some testers online from their website too . They also seem fine. But I still don't know whether they are the real deal like the ones in this video. No clue whether they are the real thing or synthetic. So l am Very sceptic about using them on skin. I try to use some herbal-organic products in the market or some DIYs when it comes to skincare .... there is no point applying harsh and potentially dangerous stuff on ones skin. Same goes for attars too. There is no point using them until and unless we kno they are real nd dont have crazy or synthetic chemicals bad for the skin or hormones... So It would be really nice of you to review the attars by Sugandh and Co sometime....

12 ml. I think they have in 12ml or 6 ml or 3ml. 12 ml unit is called 1 Tola. 6 and 3 is half and quarter Tola respectively.
