Nikhil, wow since I live in Dubai, I have indeed experienced most of the perfumes you featured here. It was at the age of 39 that I really started liking Oud and now at 40 I really love oud perfumes. I agree that it takes a certain age to appreciate Oud. ASQ Khashab al Oud, Ajmal Mukhallat Al Moattaq & Ajmal Mukhallat Al Shams, and Rasasi Asrar Indonesia are now all on my wishlist and waiting for budget clearance to buy. I love smelling the Oud and love watching your videos to appreciate what I am smelling.
@domhamai9 ай бұрын
ASQ khasat al Oud is not so prohibitively priced. It’s about $250 a bottle which is kinda the same as western high end perfumes, but if you get someone to buy it in an ASQ store they’ll give you another for free or free gifts equal to the price.

Hello and thanks for this amazing channel, finally Oud/Oudh is becoming more popular in the world! I love Japanese incense culture which uses Oud ("Jinkoh") for hundreds of years! They have their own incencse habits and a ceremony where they melt tiny pieces of Oud on a glass plate instead of putting direct fire on it. I love both ways and think it is really interesting to see such different cultures having this wonderful thing in common! I am collecting Japanese selected wood pieces and incense sticks but I developed a huge interest for oils and perfumes which are mostly appreciated in the middle east of course. In Japan though there is a way to divide 6 different kinds of Oud, depending on where they come from and how they smell! Thats why it is called "Rikkoku" (Six countries/lands). However, I would love to learn more about Oud and meet such people like you having the same passion!

I recently purchased some Papua New Guinea Oud and it is beyond beautiful. The aromas remind me of going to violin class as a child and the smell from the resin used on the bows, the smell of the polish on the violins and the leather cases. It's not quite fruity and if it's aroma was a picture it would be of the steady bright glow of a fire. I have layered it with Royal Amber from Swiss Arabian and also Black Musk and Indonesian Patchouli. It favours higher pitched fruits like plums and dates rather than the skanky oudh (that I also love) /Rose layers. It enhances leathers and contrasts with Vanilla and Tonka. I use it rarely because it feels rare to me. I really hope to get some Chinese oud sometime in the future.

Dear Nikhil, are you some professor or lecturer in real life? Your videos stream selfless sharing of information, as concentrated as with attar, no diluted eau de cologne with marketing BS there. Your true passion for the subject comes through combined with a professional presentation and a clear logical structure as with books from my university time. Very good work well delivered presentation congratulatuions.

thank you for this explanation of Oudh. I just got my first bottle and it smells so awesome and amazing! it was coming out of the box. I ordered it because of watching Ashera Star Goddess from her channel. I work in the Hoodoo Voodoo witchcraft community and she said that she was getting alot of compliments and things started going her way when she wore it. So I decided to give it a try. it was $50+ US dollars. I have put some on my candles to see what happens when I use it. It's very strong and powerful and then it does eases up but it stays for the next day. I have found an Indian website that sells the scent in charcoal/incense form. which I'll be trying when I come into some more money. just curious. This was after watching a video from KZbin of an Indian lady who suggested it from when she was a kid. So I thank you for your information. I'm really interested in purchasing a bottle of the different types that you've shown for the men for my boyfriend. 😍😘
