a few mistakes but nothing that warrants another 3 hour video export. a derecho (hurricane for the gulf coast) moves through the gulf coast during a warm but not so moist spring day…enjoy *reminder: this is fake/hypothetical*

You should do a Derecho scenario for Tucson Metro Area as I'm from there and would love to see one EDIT: In the PDS SVR at 10:40, it said "you are in a life-threatening situation" it's not supposed to say that until the winds are at least 90 mph because that would equal the speeds of an EF1. EDIT 2: I feel like it would be cool if you made an EAS Scenario where a derecho interrupted the Taylor Swift Eras Tour and then everyone has to evacuate to somewhere else.

If a storm like this happens down near louisiana it would be so moisture saturated it would literally completely block out the sun and turn it to midnight

This feels like a realistic event, which is very uncharacteristic for an EAS scenario. But that's why I like it. Very well done.

This would seriously devestate lafayette and get my old house, and my personal weather station would most likely pick up a wind gust up above 100 mph

Also when the nws in mobile issues an alert for the counties in Florida they do not say “ the panhandle of Florida” they say in Northwestern Florida.

I live in Saint Cloud Minnesota. A few years back we had a Derecho come through the area (I headed to the basement of the house I was living in at the time). I lost power for two days. I could see it coming on radar.

Yeah Derechos our horrible I heard they have massive hail And extreme wind gusts Some even say there is powerful as a category 3/4 hurricane And if I saw that shelf cloud coming I would be extremely terrified

Nice work. The first two SVRs would not cover Brazos. Brazos is northwest from Hempstead and west of Madison, and therefore would be in the clear. The shaded area also seems to encompass slivers of Chambers and Liberty.

@JustDante Жыл бұрын
i dont think so since it might be too high of a threshold but ive seen HWWs issued far ahead of derechos
@jaijoseph6248 Жыл бұрын
An Extreme Wind Warning is only for hurricane. And also The Extreme Wind Warning is only issued in association with major hurricanes. The criteria for an Extreme Wind Warning is sustained surface winds of 115 mph or greater while the High Wind Warning criteria is 40 mph or greater.

I remember that. It was terrifying. Me and my dad had gone out for a drive and we stopped to go get gas, and I felt like we were trapped in some sort of cage with how it surrounded us. I could just see lightning on the outside walls of the storm. It was horrifying and kinda like standing in the eye of a hurricane.
