Why do the wheels make this loud clunking noise when they leave the ground? I can understand during touchdown, but they do it during takeoff too.

Likely the suspension cylinders going all the way out when the weight is off them.

During take off it is always a little rough, especially on the tarmac. Once you're in the air, granted with no turbulence, it's like a dream. You rarely get jetlag on a Gulfstream
