The trick to get bots to accept peace treaties is to look in game stats to see if the bots have a halo over their head. They will almost never accept if they don't.

Really if you want a treaty you need to make sure you have the 'wise' relationship with them. Most of the positve attributes you can have you get by inaction, but you need to be smart about getting wise. It's also super hard in this map, because having nearby borders or nearby units is negative, but obviously, your borders start nearby them.

Hello! Gully I have a challenge for you since polytopia have the diplomacy update. On a Huge map in a Dryland, have one crazy imperius bot, vs yours a bardur, wait for 20 turns before you start exploring, you can only level up your city, but no troops should be outside the borders till move 20. This challenge will have a lot of cloak spam, the longer you go be warn! (edit: You can freely restart the game if the bot found your capital before move 20.)

when you are on the pick a tribe screen, hold down on one of the tribes and, if every tribe is enabled, it will disable every other tribe. if every other tribe is disabled it will enable them all. you can tell if a tribe is enabled or disabled by its colour. if aa tribe's background is black it is disabled, if its blue it is enabled. disabled tribes cannot be played, even by bots
