Imperius Domination - GullYY Vs. RANDOM PLAYERS | The Battle of Polytopia Multiplayer 1v1! - #4 Hey what's going on everyone, GullYY here and welcome back to some more epic Polytopia gameplay! Recently, the features of Polytopia Moonrise came to mobile as well, which gave us the ability of random multiplayer matchmaking. So I thought it would be fun to do some multiplayer match with completely random people! In this game, we chose the Imperius tribe because much like Zebasi, they're pretty balanced at the moment. I have an idea for a video called AI hunger games (or something like that) (Day 2) So basically, you conquer everything but don't destroy them. Slowly you move each tribe to the center of the map by letting them conquer your city's and conquering their city's. Put a unite over the city so that they can't have a head start. Surround them with the swordsman and put mind-benders behind the swordsman. Also, have catapults reddy to kill anyone who breaks the wall somehow. Then we can watch as the AI fights to death once they are all in the center.

You say quetzali are bad but what’s the definitive gully tier list?

Before the recent change it was: 1) Cymanti 2) Bardur 3-4) Luxidoor, Kickoo 5-9) Zebasi, Imperious, Polaris, Yaddak If I group them on a single line I won't argue hard about exact order. For example Kickoo before Lux but higher variance. Elyrion might make it into 5-10 but variance high. They have potential of just destroying an immediate neighbor with nothing they can do about it and if that happens and you effectively start the game with 2x potential area then that's a win right there unless Bardur gets a strong chop open or Kickoo gets a Whale(s). Player Density is very important. This list assumes continents terrain. Low Density increases Yaddak and Kickoo. Very high density significantly increases Vengir. Bardur and Lux always great. High density helps Elyrion, etc. Cymanti is OP af. Segment defense needs to be lowered to 1.5 so that Knights can counter Pedes, otherwise terrain bonuses overhurt counterchances. Cymanti is only weak when starting on an island with 3 or fewer cities and moderate+ player density. I've been able to hit 195spt + all techs by Turn 24 with them without opening Whales or lucky Ruins. They just have too easy steamroll potential and running away with the game. Too many perks. Too versatile.

Use riders as explorers, The Explorer thing sucks and you can't even control it or train it multiple times at one city.

Your first village upgrade should be Explorer unless you calculate that it saves you a turn. Your opponent is lost by Turn 6 already with weak board position and being behind in econ with Quetzali. Once he attacked with a Defender they're not even worth playing anymore.

I been grinding online to match with you hopefully and so far the only tribe I've lost to as Bardur is Elyrion on dryland. I personally think lakes is the most balanced map bc Kickoo is the only tribe that gets ports fast so Elyrion players can't bum rush you with Polytaurs and dragons

Quetzali kinda not good tho, it isn't good for economy because you don't start with a good eco tech, and it isn't very good for expansionist because defenders aren't good at attacking
