The lack of snow is very noticable, looks more like May than January. The walk in along the glen looks good for a mountain bike to cut down on time.

Hi James, It’s a good single to for this time of year. As you will have seen there isn’t any snow worries at the moment and the bike will give quicker access. Charlie, have you ever gone from Gulvain to Loch Arkaig? Are the rivers crossable? You could go into Knoydart that way?

@@geoffreysutton760 I haven't gone north from Gulvain but certainly possible to get to the head of the loch. I have tackled the two Munros to the west from Glen Pean but it isn't a route I'd recommend. It such a remote area to get into and that road along Loch Arkaig is the worst in Scotland and always has me stopping due to travel sickness.

I climbed Gulvain in August 2015, just two days before my "compleation". So I left it until nearly last. It's a bit of a loner. There are great views on a clear day. Cycling in makes it a lot easier.

@@Alabamafwee The hills a busier now then they have ever been, which is good to see. It's just a great way to keep active although they don't get any easier. I've generally been 5-6 years between completing rounds and its always the last twenty that are the hardest as they tend to be all over the place. Enjoy you final Munro when it comes.
