Been to Gumbet / Bodrum 4 times in 4 years. Always have wired feeling in Gumbet where Bodrum is definitely upmarket but bloody Expensive.

I first went to gumbet about 20 years ago as a Child it put our family off turkey for a long time I am returning to gumbet in Just over two weeks for a week. From what I've seen it's changed so much I am keeping an open mind

Gumbet has changed so much since I was there kevin ,I actually preferred it to bodrum at the time and was dirt cheap but now not so sure but cheers as always ,😂

Gumbet is more geared towards teens, like a gimmicky party place. It had a reputation for conmen tactics when I was there.

while your in Bodrum you should visit ruins of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Its in the middle of Bodrum and its pretty interesting. Also just up the hill from it is the Theatre at Halicarnassus, a huge roman odeon. Its very impressive.

Went there october 2023. Rick's place and Dragon Dragon in Gumbet can i recommend for eating out. Very warm in October to mid to late 20s in the day and about 20 at night. Stayed in the Jasmin elite residence on the way into Gumbet nice hotel.

Get down to Turunc bar in Bodrum marina if you want to see the best live music there is. Prices are reasonable too.
