I took this song as a beloved character that has fallen in love with her writer. She was originally inspired to be created by the scene in Alice in wonderland where the two doors and the "Drink me" potion was and the "eat me" cake. And every time the creator rereads that inspiring section, he begins to write her again. But now he's abandoned her again, and she misses him, so the song starts in her calling out to him again.

Last time I listened to this song I didn't really see how it could metaphorically relate to a person, but today I do. Being used up, knowing you're temporary and soon forgotten, only a small part of someone's life before they move on to grander things that aren't you. But you desperately try to make the most of it even though you know the most important thing to them isn't you, and they'll leave. But you still don't want them to. Wanting to stay making and doing the only thing you can do for them - not wanting to turn the page.

The cool thing about this song is that it’s rather vague in lyrics and subjective in interpretation. It might be about… *1: Cannibalism or… um… v0re*. It seems a bit like that from the title, maybe, but personally I think it’s an innuendo. With the “kiss me” and all that. *2: A one-night stand with one-sided feelings, or someone just using her*. I think this is probably the most likely interpretation. Gumi is in love with this person so much that she is willing to let them use her even though she knows she won’t be there in the “next page”, repeating the same situation over and over with no progression in their relationship, because she wants to be close to them. (sad) She tells herself she is happy as long as she can have any kind of relationship with this person ( 1:36 ) but based on her face as she says it, it doesn’t seem to be actual happiness. But she feels like she has no choice since she loves this person so much. *3: It’s about the cake in Alice in Wonderland*. It might be about the cake in Alice in Wonderland, especially with the lyrics about getting larger, the visuals in the video, and the fact that the producer, Oster Project, mentioned Alice in Wonderland in the Author’s notes. (See description) *4: It’s from the point of view of a book.* I saw some comments from people suggesting this. Definitely the most wholesome and cute interpretation. My personal opinion is that it’s about the second option, a sad, sad relationship, with the Alice in Wonderland, cake, eating, and story stuff as metaphors. But it’s likely that Oster Project wanted to leave it a bit up to interpretation. Anyway… with that overly long comment out of the way… I love how this song sounds! Oster Project is musically very talented and I love the jazziness in her songs. My favorite part of the song is 1:00. I thought that Gumi was a metaphor for how people never remember certain parts of Alice in Wonderland, only the parts in the movies. The cycle starts when you read the book, and she wants you to remember the story as much as possible, and since most of the book talks about how eating makes you grow and drinking makes you shrink, she wants you to "eat" her so that you'll remember what happened. Possibly. Just... Possibly.....
