That would explain his seemingly godlike powers but also very human flaws. Specially due to the fact that he created those rooms that looked like real life rooms that pomni was trying to escape through. He shouldnt be able to do that since he shouldnt have any IRL reference to do it but he did.

I think it's supposed to be both. Like, it is a funny scene in normal circumstances, but since we just had a deeper moment with both Pomni and Gummi Goo, it is shocking, and we feel just like she must feel in The Circus, with everything being treated as if it was a joke or something, but there actually being a sense of dread and loss of hopefulness behind this whole funny act, since she doesn't feel like she belongs there.

Its actually so obvious that i think its a false foreshadowing (or atleast partially) meant to distract us from the real thing. And i think the real foreshadowing here was the scene about kinger telling ragatha he stil REMEMBERS when she first got in the circus and then following up with "Remember what?" forgetting what happened. And i think something similar is about to happen to gummigoo having these tiny moments of remembering who he actually is and him acttually not being an AI but an actual person who Caine FORGOT that he was a real human to begin with. I dont think gummigoo wouldve mentioned his mother and his village manyyy times, and for it only to be dismissed as "fake memories" so easily makes it quite suspicious. And also the bandits having a village instead of an enemy kingdom or a BANDIT DEN by caine's typical cliche story designing seems so odd... Why put a village as their backstory? Theirs something odd about it.

It’s worse than crying Crying at least would be a natural response to vent out pain But this is worse, her mind is falling apart, we are literally watching her sanity start to chip away more A person becomes abstracted if they give into insanity Pomni knows she’s going crazy, she knows it’s inevitable She has nightmares about it, fearing she’ll become forgotten In last episode she laughed before when she saw the computer. She realizes there’s no going home, she’s trapped in the digital world no matter what she does, and all she can do is laugh at the cruel irony That’s what happened now She sought a friend in Gummigoo, someone who she can relate to in having an idea what she’s going through She promised him a better life than simply being an NPC to be discarded And no more than 30 seconds after she showed him home, Caine unraveled everything instantly. She realized it didn’t matter what she did, Gunmigoo was gone instantly. She can’t have friends who relate to her, it’s gone instantly She can’t make promises, it’s gone instantly It’s all as futile as trying to go home, and that what made her laugh The cruel irony that nothing she does matters, it’s all the same in the end She realizes she meant to be alone to be abstracted and sealed in darkness forever But then a moment after she saw Kofmo’a funeral and saw how her new friends do remember the fallen, that they do relate to her That she wasn’t alone after all That she has a reason not to go mad. At least for now. So there was that But her laughing at such scenes is painful realizing she’s breaking beyond crying, that each time she’s a step closer to becoming abstracted

If I recall correctly, it’s theorized that instant vaporization of a living being wouldn’t actually be all that painless. Because it happens so quickly, time dilation occurs, causing the victim to feel their every cell burn and vaporize into nothing, causing an intense and horrific amount of pain that occurs within a second but feels much longer. So maybe that’s the case here for poor Gummigoo

As soon as Pomni said he'd be coming with them and Ragatha said "Wait, is that allowed ?" I already knew Caine was gonna zap him out of existence. For as much as i braced myself, it still made me sad. Because they actually gave us hope that pomni would have a friend she would finally relate to. Besides the main cast of course. Love the voice that Alex does for Caine, but Caine as a character, i hate him, like, to the core. He's literally a power tripping Gmod server admin

I honestly don't think Caine is power tripping. With how he reacted to the idea of confusing players and NPCs, he clearly has some kind of trauma about it. And in general Caine has clearly tried to aid the humans as best as he could for the most part, and has some nonverbal signs of anxiety at many points, like whem pomni looks up to him during the pilot. So while he is OP to me it seems more like he just has 0 clue what he's doing.

From the looks of it, Caine seems to be just in the dark as everyone else. All he knows is that he's responsible for keeping all the humans distracted and sane. Sure he gets unlimited access to this world, but he doesn't seem to have much power (or knowledge) outside of that.

I really don't think Caine does this out of ill intent. Like in the last episode he knew everyone wanted an exit so he made one for them, hiding to keep it as a surprise, but since he couldn't understand what they wanted from it, he never finished it. He's not malicious, he's just oblivious to the situation.

Also, I don’t hate Caine for this, (well maybe just slightly) BUT I ALSO STILL LOVE HIM, but it doesn’t change the fact he’s so undeniably ignorant and COLD for this despite his intentions.
