At first, as I watch sugar flower tutorials (the realistic kind of sugar flowers) I'm like, " It's sugar, what's the big deal? It's only sugar! A flower made of sugar! That's it!" But as every piece is brought together, and the product is about to be finished, I think, "A cake decorated with these kinds of sugar flowers is just exquisite. What a deeply beautiful way to celebrate major life events! With the expression of detail, time, and skill. It is a very perfect way for everyone who is celebrating to make a lasting memory. There must also be a way for a couple to keep these extra special flowers from off their wedding cake for years to come. A way to display and preserve them for years. Might you have any experience and advice on how to preserve sugar flowers? This may be a reason a client would choose this particular flower design; The ability to preserve the memories of their special days or occasions. How much should one charge for a sugar flower of this kind of time and detail. Thank you ahead of time!

Could/Should these be made in marshmallow fondant? Would Marshmallow fondant last in time?
@NataliesCakes5 жыл бұрын
Valerie J. Cox I haven’t made it with marshmallow. So I wouldn’t know I’m sorry. As far as the pricing goes.. everyone charges different. I believe they go for about $40-$80 each. Depending on complexity of design and on the designers skill You can preserve them. Just keep them covered with plastic wrap or a glass dome or something :)
@ValerieJCox5 жыл бұрын
@@NataliesCakes Awesome! Thank you so much for your response! $40-$80 dollars! Wonderful!
@davinafernandes27124 жыл бұрын
@@ValerieJCox wow you would charge that just for the peony? Or including the cake? I have made all my petals etc and they have come out beautifully. Didnt use the vein board or the soft mat, so there not as thin as yours. I doubled up on the petals, putting the wire in the middle then printing with the petal impression. Putting it all together tomorrow. I also used a tint of pink for the fondant, and yellow for the buds, but dusted with candy pink and tips of buds & green for the buds. It's just so pretty to make. Thank you so much for sharing your skills & expertise. I hope mine looks as wonderful as yours.@Natalie's Cakes
