Bike trails and a winery, what more could you ask for? How about a full hook-up campsite, wildlife, and a scenic lake? That's what Gun Creek Recreation Area has to offer. Now, not all campsites are full hook-ups here. Check carefully before you reserve if that's what you want. You choices here are water, sewer, and electric sites or electric only sites.
What we love about Gun Creek Recreation Area:
1. Large, grassy sites
2. Some sites with sewer
3. Wildlife
4. Other recreational opportunities nearby - biking, hiking, swimming, fishing
5. Nearby - Pheasant Hollow Winery, check their events calendar
6. Some sites are waterfront or water view
What we didn't love about Gun Creek Recreation Area:
1. No trails in the park
2. Many sites are electric only

Looks like a nice place strange no hiking trails. Love the sites on the water even having to level a bit . Great review safe travels

Right! There were lots of woods and we were surprised there wasn't at least one trail. Some of the woods were a little swampy so perhaps that's why. The bike trails nearby made up for it though. Happy travels to you! 🙂👋
