Just one observation not for critizicing. In the second technique for disarming with gun minute 3:08 I consider that even if you are really skilled in martial arts, you never be in the line of fire of one gun, and when I say never is NEVER, in this technique we can see on the video that the defender is exposed to the gun, for my particular point of view is important to get out of the line of fire, then take the control of the gun and after that apply any technique you want to. for self security, NEVER expose yourself right into the line of fire when you're trying to dominate your attacker.

This is a great video and information. But one must be very good at doing this because some people come prepared to shoot to kill with any sudden movements. Also great for a close situation, but what about a far distance?

Great video and there are so many variables with handguns . Revolver cocked or not cocked , Auto pistol which is hammerless . A fool extends a handgun towards an opponent . A pro keeps a handgun close to their body ... and good luck disarming a pro without being killed . Thanks for an excellent video and all the best .

And if you are the defending yourself with a firearm (maybe someone broke into your home) #1 never hold the gun with 1 hand #2 keep at least 3 feet or more of distance #3 keep in weaver gun stance whereas your firearm can quickly be retracted and your non dominant hand can be used to parry an attack or push away. #4 command your capturee to 1) put his hand up above his head 2) turn around and 3) interlock their fingers 4) kneel to the ground and lie face down or walk. This way - none of the above happens to you.

better train seriosly if you want to use the techniques, or find other alternatives to save your life. It is not easy as it look...need a lot of training and familiarity with the tecniques untill it blend in your blood and please find a real master in this field. One wrong step....will be serious outcome. Just opinion....

Don't watch this a few times and expect to perform these techniques. Practice, practice, practice. Even if your practice isn't perfect (I'm not saying you should not practice good technique) but you will be far more prepared to deal with the situation than the person pointing the gun - well at least in 97% the time (The 3 percent will be those with weapons training or people staying outside of your range).

Very good moves. Especially the escape the rear naked choke. How to counter a right punch. How to counter a possible double leg take down. Using wrist and elbow locks. How I learn moves is to make funny cartoons doing these moves. Then practice the moves in slow motion with a imaginary character. Then practice the very same move as fast as I can with a imaginary character . Then practice the same move in gentle slow motion with a loved one. Practice very slow motion and very gentle with a loved one. Learn ten thousand ways to counter the same move. With different styles learned. I love this You Tube site. Also Krav Maga. Then Master Wong. Then Effective Martial Arts. Then Submissions 101. Learn ten counter moves from different styles. To counter the very same attack. This puts more moves in your arsenals of self defense. Also space and your phone is another weapon. My weapon for self defense is a small leather pouch on my right hip. Its covered with a long shirt. This is called : MK3 Pepper Spray. I have used this twice already . I was punched in the forehead by a big boxer. He danced around. I backed off. I angled my body 90 degrees to his body. My left hand lifted to guard my left part of my face. Then I sneakily put my hand under my right hip . Then sneakily took out the MK3 Pepper Spray. I cuffed in my right hand. I moved my left hand a little. So he would look at me left hand. Then with the right hand sprayed this bad guy in his eyes, mouth and his nose. He ran in to McDonalds to use water to wipe it off. I called the police. He was then arrested for assault and battery. Then taken to jail. I have also used: MK3 Pepper Spray on a much stronger guy choking me. As he was choking me , I reached to my small pouch on my right hip pocket. Then sprayed the much bigger stronger guy in the face, He let go very fast. You can get the pouch and the MK3 Pepper Spray at Galls Uniform. Its a security uniform store in Riverside California . You can look up Galls Uniform on Yelp . In the city of Riverside. I still love learning self defense moves. I never look for trouble. Space and phone are also very good weapons. The phone to call the police. Give a good description of the bad guy. Plus your cross streets of where you are. So Space and phone are very good weapons. Example a homeless guy or man approaching you. Your response is : " No Thank you." He might want to distract you from the front. Then his bad guy friend sneaks up behind your back or your neck. This is how people can get kidnapped . So be aware of what is in front of you. What is to your left and right of you. Be aware of what or who is behind you. What is above you. NEVER EVER COMPLACENT AT NO TIME. To learn various types of kicks. You Tube Stacy Nemor . Then look up how to stretch your legs. On You Tube. Watch all the MMA fights. Study how the winners win. Study all the boxing fights. Study all the moves of the champions . No never look for fights. JUST ALWAYS BE READY TO DEFEND YOUR SELF .OR YOUR LOVED ONES. NEVER COMPLACENT . Food for thought.

Pls...remind...always be carefull when you disarming the gun...and always look the muzzle that front of you...its may take possible to shoot you...when the enemy accidentaly to press the trigger...
@mikem19914 жыл бұрын
Most of these techniques will get you shot and/or killed. Too many techniques, too much complexity and the gun ends up sweeping the "disarmer" or sweeping everywhere including any bystanders. It assumes that the gun will not actually go off. This stuff works great in gym when a toy gun is being used but would be worse than useless in real life. It is movie gong fu.
