I already have Quest 3, and on games like "contractor" I feel it's already pretty impressive with the accuracy. I'm cross-eye dominant (right hand dominant, left eye dominant) and I know where my rounds land when I use the wrong eye. I was able to duplicate real life in the contractor shooting range with VR. Looking forward to getting Ace.. and it cost about the same as a box of live rounds every month

what if you are near sighted and wear glasses.. do you need to wear glasses with your quest?

When I don’t wear my contacts. I wear glasses while using Quest3. It’s comfortable. 👍🏼👍🏼

Does anyone know if there’s a setting to turn the brightness of the dot on the optics up? It’s maddeningly dim and kinda forces you focus on the dot vs the target. Thx

I heard they will make that into the next update. I thought they gave us the option to change the optic color from red to green.

@@TacticalExpeditionthey did, but green somehow ended up being worse than red, and a big fan of green. It completely disappears on white steel targets if you’re looking at the target and not the dot.

Is there that much lag from your trigger pull to the game reaction or is it just how you filmed it? Not a great feedback situation with that much lag.

It’s the recording system on quest. In the game, it’s really realistic. I use it daily to practice. Your brain thinks there’s a recoil also due to the image and the sound.

Do you still get the controller with a subscription? It seems like you have to buy it for another 200 now.

I got it when I ordered it but the pricing is different so it’s same price. I paid the lum sum so I got the basic version (not staccato p). Now, monthly is cheaper so they let you order the controller of your choice.

For the price they are asking... I'll wait until Recoil is available and it supports VR Games. I get it, it's for professional use $$, but .... subscription?

For me, it was worth the money only because it’s 90-95% of the real shooting experience at the outdoor range and I get to shoot a lot more often. I used to pay $500 per year for outdoor range and I went 2 per month. It was cool but I can now shoot outdoors from my living room. You don’t even need actual recoil because your brain will somewhat let you experience the recoil. If you never shot this, you won’t understand. 👍🏼

This should only be worth it if it was a quality app where you could use your actual pistol and the System recognized it this is definitely a rip off

If you never experienced this, you won’t know the feeling of being inside the VR. It’s so realistic that it feels I’m shooting my staccato in my really range. Try it first. 👍🏼

The question is, *how* would you use your real pistol? How would the game track it with the same level of precision, how would you get the trigger reset, and more importantly, how would you use the app outside in your back yard without the neighbors calling the cops if you used your real pistol for it?

@KeterMalkuth you can’t use your real pistol with this game. The gun lookalike controller looks like a game controller so your neighbor will know that you are playing VR game with quest3.
