When I tell people I have an AR-15 and they say "you have an assault rifle?" I say no I have an AR-15 not an assault rifle. I tell them they're not educated properly. I tell them to look up a military assault rifle and see the difference between them and civilians versions. I wish I had a selective fire gun. That's a real assault rifle. Some of us adhere to the tenet of Heller regarding "dangerous and unusual weapons." I personally believe a bumpfire stock equipped rifle to be more dangerous than a machinegun since it is so inaccurate. It fires indiscriminately. If you tried to use one in a defensive scenario you would send stray bullets everywhere and endanger the public. I am fine with a ban as long as it passes strict scrutiny as dangerous and unusual.

I usually don't watch "Gun Gripes" because to me they're 'dumb.' This is the best Gun Gripe I've heard and listen to. I hate all gun control! I won't give on any gun control measures. Bump stocks are dumb and silly too me, but I'll fight tooth and nail to keep them legal. We must stick together!

What angered me as a viewer was that people making valid comments were banned from the chat. And I know that Eric and Chad had nothing to do with that but it really angered a bunch of us viewers. All we wanted was our comments to be addressed in the round table. I wasn't banned from the chat but it was not a good move.

Eric- Now that it's known to the world that vendors/manufactures have paid you to review there product(s), It should be in your best interest to acknowledge this in a video.... if you care about your channels reputation or more importantly, your viewers/subscribers. Majority of us really don't care what you charge, albeit 4k or 40k per review, however disclosing this to your audience is what we should expect from you. As you know, many people actually make a purchase based on what you say, good or bad. When peoples hard earned money is on the line we expect a full disclosure. Keep it real brother!

Twice Chad has said he was okay with them making bump fire stocks an NFA item go back and watch their video about the Las Vegas shooting that was the first time and then he was saying it again in the round table. And after Yankee Marshal released their brochure which shows how much it cost for a good reviews of products it's a little hard for me to believe that their impartial and don't have gun manufacturers interest as a top priority. Which I have no problem with any of that but this backpedaling is ridiculous and it's what's made me lose respect and the fact their angry about their brochure being released and threatening to sue shows that they're obviously hiding something that they don't want the general public to know and that's the fact their opinion can be bought!

I remember back in 1994 when the Clinton AWB came about, how the older gun owners, guys in their 60's, 70's and older more or less threw younger gun owners under the bus because they didn't like the guns that were being banned and they went along with the AWB because it didn't affect their guns. That created a huge divide among gun owners that still exists to this day, and the problem is that this divide has been there for some time. Some will give in, and some will not and some see that there are "reasonable compromises". I saw again here in NY when the Safe Act came out, there were the older owners again, happy to sell the rest down the river. We are all going to hang separately or we are all going to hang together. As Abraham Lincoln once said, a country divided against itself cannot stand. We need to stand together on this guys.

I am not a huge fan of TYM but you guys didn't refute or even deny a single thing he said about your business practices. Call me naive, but I really never considered the huge bucks you are raking in with your youtube channel. And I am fine with that, but your business practices, and your secrecy about them, creates at least the appearance of a conflict of interests. So... It's wrong to make money on a gun channel which is a business... Sometimes companies pay for these guys to review some products.... And it's a bad thing? I remember a series of videos where they burned out full auto ak47, ar15, glock and what not and burned through thousands of rounds... That cost a lot of money. How can they do that without getting paid?! Many of the videos they make come out of their patrons support and they get entertainment in return... And they make some cash I'm sure... But isn't that what a business is all about? They run a gun shop, Yeager runs a training facility as do many others... It's a BUSINESS people. There is only so much you can do for the love of it. IraqVeterean8888 was a valuable education and research tool, a couple of Pawn Shop gun counter clerks (Eric & Barry/Chad) who shared their knowledge and experience as well as review firearms to educate the community about firearms and the etiquette associated. IV8888 could be trusted to be unbiased and informative, Eric being a War Veteran garnered a high level of respect and trust. The channel has grown massively since the Barry era and main-stayed a "for us, by us" mentality, the ManCans are marketed as a PBS style crowdfunding model to keep the channel aloft and provide us with more informative enrichment and unbiased reviews. The connotation was, every subscriber bought ammo, every 10 subscribers bought a gun. We all new the contents of the ManCan were primarily sentimental swag, the value differential being an investment in the channel. The channel has always portrayed itself as a family effort, being a homegrown effort, videos being 'fireside chats' (Gun Gripes) and 'buds with beer' (the review content.) For several years, IV8888 and Eric were to be trusted and held with high degree of regard...then a clown came along.... TheYankeeMarshal is a sarcastic personality, known heckler. He made an accusation per his character, something harmless if left alone, something that could have been addressed in a professional manner as a casual after thought. We come to this video, 'Gun Gripes #139'. In a behavior unbecoming of a soldier Eric adopted hostile demeanor toward the accusation, made the assumption that the clown was feeble and made a fierce denial. Chad had his own problems, he's a good guy...live chats are obliviously not his element. Instead of directly facing his 42:18 GunCollective Chat remark, admitting that he was cut short in the middle of rebuking a 'nightmare scenario' he artfully crafted...He Instead Chose To Obfuscate Stupidity. Back to Eric, turns out...The Clown was Pennywise. TheYankeeMarshal indeed had evidence in his possession, what does Eric do? Does he just let the matter drop? After all he challenged that his accuser had no evidence to support his claim, was proven wrong in the court of public opinion. Does Eric appear in TheYankeeMarhsal's Live chat, and sort things out professionally? No, he threatens legal action...wow on the moral high ground. Thing is what Yankee had was effectively...Nuclear. IV8888 had marketed itself to us as an unbiased channel, in fact it charges manufacturers to promote and sponsor...not review their wares. That of course leads us to wonder what exactly our ManCan contributions go toward if the manufacturers/industry are already flipping the bill for the channel and then some, and to question validity of bias...which previously we all depended on being neutral. We need a channel we know the biases of, we need a channel we can count on that provides content in a context we mutually understand. As TheYankeeMarshal pointed out in his chat, we are sorely lacking a For Profit Gun Commercial Channel. A channel with a large install base where manufacturers can debut firearms and accessories and have them promoted successfully, so that the community can be made aware of said product's existence and research them elsewhere. The source of his scorn is that such a channel should be honest about being "corporate" and not abide an unintended false narrative of being a homegrown community supported review channel. IraqVeterean8888 could be that channel...as long as Eric stops pouring kerosene on the bridge and starts acting like a former soldier of the US Military. Be the better man. If TheYankeeMarshal is wrong, if we are wrong. Be upfront about the Industry pamphlets you circulate, show us "behind the scenes" where their money goes, where our money goes. You have Two Options to regain our trust, our faith, Pick One.
