I have two of these guns, both have 1.4 tips, one for everything and one strictly for clear. I cut the fluid back a bit, have the fan a half-turn from full, and the air at 20psi for sealer/base and 30psi for clear. When I spray single-stage I go 25psi, and I think I have decent results. If you're name-dropping Brad I think I know who it is 😂 I say thumbs up, nice work....👍

Yes sir looks good.I’ve been using iwata kiwami 4 I had to turn fan In 1/2 to 3/4 and spray around 25psi on clear on base 28 /30 psi dang I did get some runs on the dash but that’s how we learn how to fix r mistakes

What kind of sanding blocks do you use? I see everybody saying acrylic blocks will give straight results as a dura block won’t. As a beginner in the paint game, a wise man told me that if you can’t get a paint job straight with a dura block you ain’t gonna get it straight with an acrylic block

If I’m sanding a bumper and sand to raw plastic on a few spots, will I need to use adhesion promoter even if I’m going to primer and then seal before painting ?

You don’t have to use adhesion promoter, you should be able to prime and seal

The only problem with putting the clear on so wet it looks painted i have the gto it puts out the perfect orange peal to match the the factory,non the less beautiful job Boss

A few channels where I've seen people using Sagola guns seems like they use much lower pressure than most of the other guns.

Does LVLP generally atomize with smaller droplets than HVLP? What about HTE (High transfer efficiency)? I bought the Black widow HTE version a couple years ago. It’s still in the box. I know the smaller the droplets, the less orange peel for each coat. Just not sure where HTE is on the scale.

Both lvlp and hvlp can have small droplets as well as hte which can be achieved with gun settings

They look like a good gun & always get good reviews, but I'm a devilbiss nut & got too many guns or I would try a Sagola, & on that note I managed to try the TE25 the other day, after a bit of testing I painted the hood I mentioned to you, The cap looks like the TE20 but fan pattern totally different, so my settings were fan 3/4 turns in, fluid 2&1/2 turns out & about 32 psi for the 1st coat & 2nd coat fluid 3 turns out and used 1.3 tip, this cap puts a lot of paint on the panel with absolutely no peel, I used 600 ml where I would have used 450 with the TE 20 but you could see the difference, I think it's a good cap for custom finish it puts a lot of paint ON THE PANEL with zero peel, it's worth the money give it a try see what you think 👑

It’s me again 😁. I sanded my tailgate all the way down to bare metal and epoxy primer it with 3 coats. After finishing up with body fillers and blocking, I have bare metal spots again. Would I be ok to go ahead and high build prime, and seal before I paint? Or is there something else I need to do with the bare metal spots ?

You can high build prime if you plan on reblocking the tailgate but if you’re going straight to paint you can self etch prime the bare spots then seal everything and then go on to paint

Perfect. I always struggle with the clear putting it on to heavy, and getting runs trying to get it flat like you did. I always spray at 29 to 30 psi with my ws 400. I lay my base really smooth, but man when it comes to clear im always buffing. Any tips from you on this would be appreciated. I wouldn't have to buff so much if i could get a finsh like that. Always appreciate you king. Thanks for sharing.

I haven’t sprayed with that spray gun but you may need to turn your fluid down or increase your distance from the panel or increase your speed
