PBD does a great job of not “stealing the room” with his interviews. He asks a question, allows the guest to speak, then brings it all back in to get back on track. People will pick Hogan’s stories apart and say his dates are wrong or something isn’t true; but it’s the best, most personalizing interview I’ve seen of Hulk Hogan. Thank you, PBD and to you, “Hulkster” for taking over an hour to entertain and share with us. “I was selling out, when you guys were still bumming gas just trying to get to high school!!” - Hogan Bash at the Beach 1996

@morelhunter3966 Vincent McMahon Sr., the promoter of World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE), gave Hulk Hogan his stage name: The Hulk Hogan's wrestling name came from a talk show appearance with Lou Ferrigno, the actor who played the Incredible Hulk. The host noticed that Hogan was bigger than Ferrigno and called him "The Hulk". Hulk Hogan McMahon wanted Hogan to take on an Irish persona and gave him the last name Hogan. If ya didn't know now ya know👍

Ya, and keeping the rights to it. Some guys couldn't pull it together when the promotion owned the name. Brutus Beefcake comes to mind. Undertaker is another guy who was probably smart enough to realize that leaving the WWF and going to WCW he would have been Mortician Mark. He would have tanked.

According to Hulk Hogan’s own accounts, including his autobiography My Life Outside the Ring, he was in Japan wrestling when his father, Peter Bollea Sr., passed away in December 1986. Hogan has expressed regret about not being there when his father died, as he was deeply affected by not being able to say goodbye. This version has been a consistent part of Hogan’s story over the years.

Interesting thing about the Vince doc is for wrestling fans there was nothing new, we already knew everything that was in the doc and some of it was wrong, but the doc wasnt made for wrestling fans which is why it has proved so popular for guys like PBD. Presumably there is fertile ground there for similar projects. Most of what Hogan said in this is all over the place fact/date wise, but he should still have a podcast. So many stories to tell.

Y’all outta your minds. Hulk is a worker man. Everything he does is to entertain. Very little he says is gonna be not exaggerated. That’s who he is and almost every big wrestler. He’s a self promoter and that’s never gonna change. That’s what made him famous.

Hogan is so inspirational just the way he could tell lies that have been disproven with a straight face over and over. It's truly awe-inspiring. 🤣😅

@SherlinMyers-eh9etАй бұрын
Yes!!! The way he shares about how Trump treats people is so moving...not gonna lie, had me a little choked up for a second. That's who Trump is, nothing like what the left want people to believe just so they can win the election. If the election was based on true character Trump would win in a landslide. Thank you for at least being open minded and honest enough to share your thoughts!!! God bless
