As a Titan main I must say that that is entirely necessary. Not only is this armor heavy but we have to strike fear in our opponents one way or another. Plus you're not going to get that by moving around like a ninja in you're skin tight pants, or by being a huge nerd with books and thinking you're smarter than everyone when you can't outsmart my fist.

I think it depends on whether you’ve played the specific content for each line, so if you didn’t play at all during season of the lost you wouldn’t get any of those lines and so on

4:14 definitely forsaken, not last wish. I never completed last wish and I got this dialogue. 3:18 I think you got the labels wrong. FIrst dialogue implies the player didn't know what happened to Savathun during S15. As a veteran i got the second dialogue which makes sense.

I didn't hear a lot of those veteran lines despite having done it all. Really interesting to hear them. Though for idle comments, I don't hear much because I'm a human Titan. Mostly nothing, generic lines, or people going on about how Titans are loud.

Yeah, it really stinks that Bungie still has not enabled a 'D1 Veteran' option in the gameplay settings to allow us to hear these lines. When the crossplay merge occurred, I used my PC characters instead of console so never get to hear my own triumphs from the first game :(

I think the Awoken/Dreaming City line from Ghost to Savathun is generally Forsaken veteran dialogue, I'm pretty sure I got it and I never did the raids.

When our Ghost mentions Oryx and the Taken, my friend who has never played Destiny 1 never got that dialogue but my Ghost never mentioned Crota and the Great Disaster even though I played the Dark Below dlc, but he mentions Oryx and the Taken? That's odd, I did play both the Dark Below and The Taken King though, atleast I got the callback to Oryx and the Taken...

Ghost does say "not again!" when you get shot through the cannon on vet dialog, but it's buggy and sometimes it doesn't show up.

Anyone that swapped from D1 to D2 on PC was pretty much permanently locked from getting the Veteran dialogue because there wasnt a transfer for it until much, much later. Only way was to give up all of your PC progress to select your console account as your primary D2 account for crossplay and thats honestly an insane ask.

Man, this just makes me wish when Bungie added cross save to D2, that they allowed us to "merge" our accounts so that we can continue our original Destiny 1 character's stories on our new accounts. So many of us switched from console to pc, or from one console to the other, and we progressed further on our new platform than our old. Them adding cross save so much later kinda screwed over people that want their original D1 characters back.
