Richthofen’s Japanese voice actor is Mr. Yutaka Aoyama(青山穣). He also narrated Kaguya-sama: Love is War and, under the name “Daikyoma Jin Tenchu(大凶魔神天誅),” has been active in HENTAI anime like Princess Knight Catuea. He is also my favorite voice actor.

funfact: In JPN dub's Revelation, Dempsey voices had acted by substitute, Takaya Kuroda for some reason and he also acted Kazuma Kiryu. Taiten Kusunoki acted Dempsey for all of other map.

I get where you're coming from, but imo I think this style of speaking is more similar to an old timey mustache twirling type of villain - think like the kind of guy who would tie someone to train tracks while gloating to the 'hero' or even just a straight up conman? This is probably biased bc Richtofen (but especially his Ultimis self) has always reminded me of these character archetypes when speaking, but hearing him in Japanese just makes the effect more pronounced again, imo. If you want to see a comparison for what I'm talking about, go look up the Japanese voices of characters like Iyami from Osomatsu-kun or Kurayamiman from Anpanman for refs but keep in mind this is again probably biased on my side lol - either way, as much as I like Richtofen in Japanese English is still good!

Actually, the Japanese voice actor for Richtofen also did the voice dubbing for the mad scientist Deathshead in Wolfenstein: The New Order, so in a way, that observation is quite accurate.
