I remember this game. I was a kid of 10 but I managed, through many trials and tribulations, to dominate the battlefield and win the war against the mighty water buffalo. Their casualties were immense.

Hell yeah, brother... I still wake up screaming from the nightmares that force me to re-live all the prepubescent pixelated atrocities I committed. Except in the dreams *I'm* the water buffalo, watching all my fellow 'falos blown to polygonal pieces by some kid who's enraged by his boat's cracked windshield. The great water buffalo genocide of the 1990s never made it into history books, but vets & survivors on both sides know the truth, and we will will never forget.

Back in the day, i used to mow down everything i laid my eyes upon with "Ol' Painless" M60, be it civilian junk, US infantry, Vietcong, civilian hut.. :) too much Fortunate Son while playing this i guess

This was a guilty pleasure of mine when I was 11 years old back in 91-92. When my dad underwent a special career management course in the military, he was given a 386 for his lessons. I played Gunboat for hours and man in the Colombia campaign i had to take care of my seaman because i didnt want him killed and lose my mortar; in one mission I needed the punch to kill that fortification and that mortar nest - and destroying those completed the mission.

great games... cool open world 3D simulation in 90 ? better than wolfenstein 3D in 92 :D i remember the dragon flight simulator as well nd the Retaliator - awesome jet fighter simulation - great with joystick
