It's very tempting to go play a match when I have time but that's just so much money. And since there will be a whole new set of cards released with Unitribe, I'm going to want to try to get some good ones so it's going to cost me even more money than usual. Right now it's not worth buying extra cards since the odds of getting a good one are so slim. However, it sounds like the Unitribe update is going to remove the EX Battles (which I never caught on video) and instead guarantee an M rare or higher if you buy extra cards. Probably have to buy all 4 though, to get the rare. Expensive but it's better than spending an extra 400 yen and getting four commons.

@@ncspacemonkey aw I liked the random EX battles, but a guaranteed rare isn’t the end of the world. That’s gotcha life. What are the hype cards for Unitribe?

@@nathanngai3913 I think a lot of people are hoping for Destiny Gundam this time around. There’s a pretty good Shinn base attacker and Athrun defender shown so far. Plus there’s some hype for the heavier focus on Gundam X.

@@ncspacemonkey I just saw on Twitter they previewed a 4 cost Unicorn. I’ve been buying cards off Mandarake for when I head back. How did you come to live in Japan? 🇯🇵

@@nathanngai3913 Yeah, that Unicorn looks to be well-made for base attacking. 500 long range attack is nothing to sneeze at. I came to Japan on the JET Program to teach English. I thought I'd stay maybe 1 or 2 years but I really took to the country. Nearly two decades later I'm still here. ;)

Right? That's kind of why I feel like it's just a bot. Or it could be someone messing around with a new/random deck since it was so late at night. Or even they may have made a mistake and put the wrong card in their team. I did that once when the machine gave me a card I really liked so I swapped out one of my less-helpful PLs before the next match. It wasn't until the match started that I noticed the PL I swapped out was my defender and the new card was a base attacker. So I lost my defender for that match, too. lol

@@ncspacemonkey I’m with you, sometimes when the wait was long, it would be a super easy W, but I didn’t know if it was a bot or if I was just low rank and playing scrub starter teams.

@@nathanngai3913 While it could be players testing out some random teams with suits they like rather that overpowered, competitive decks, the fact that it seems to happen a LOT after long matchmaking waits is really suspicious.
