The 30MS girls seem to be VERY popular and these videos prove why. I actually ordered the Luluce back in September, but they've been so out-of-stock that the status on my order is still "Open".

They're definitely very popular in the mecha musume community. albeit not for the reasons why most folks outside of it think. It's primarily the fact that they're quality affordable base bodies to be used as fodder for customs and kit bashes, rather than unique characters that stand on their own like all the other more popular lines. Also, as for them being out of stock- this isn't because of how many people are buying them, but rather because of production issues. Bandai has been having issues with the Chinese factory they use to print the faceplates, so they've only been able to send out a small fraction of the kits they were supposed to to stores. It's supposed to be getting better in roughly 3 months after they've gone through their backlog of wholesale orders though.

Speaking of missed opportunities, the vid definitely missed some opportunities to show off the unique things the Mechanical Unit brings to the table when it comes to customization. One of the most important is the provided upper arm (the one attached to the large claw arms), which has a C-joint that makes it compatible with any 30MS forearm and even legs, or the fact that the legs are essentially 30MM legs so it can be used as is with any 30MM mecha.

As of right now, I really like the Speed Type and this new Mechanical Type Option Parts. The Flight Type overall is relatively disappointing, although combining certain parts on the shield, and then adding the Sengoku Weapon (Samurai) set seems to make it more viable in my opinion. All in all, these 30 MM Sisters are a LOT of fun! Thanks to your channel for introducing me to these 30 MM Sisters in the first place!

I agree that any reviewer that has a Goddess-tier Tamamo should be reviewing it, but we do have to remember that it's Gaikotsu we're talkin' about here. I love the guy, but there's a reason he's made fun of in the mecha musume community for his notoriously TERRIBLE hot-take on Koto's girls. So in all fairness I'm not sure he'd give her all the accolades she deserves.

Agreed! Though, to be fair the other kit lines already have those. Koto's kind of got the "kits with personality" corner of the hobby on lockdown, let alone the recent kits from some of the others. Personally, I don't think Bandai is going to focus on "kits with personality that stand on their own" since their goal primarily seems to be making kits meant for kitbashing or serving as blank bodies for customs.

I literally just ordered Luluce and her mechanical suit, I also ordered the Type G01 parts set for Rishetta to go with her stealth armor. I have seen 30 Minute Sisters at my local hobby shop whenever I go to buy a new scale plane or tank or just need some building supplies. I am so happy I got into these, Rishetta keeps watch over my workstation for me. I'm curious, have you ever done any panel lining for your gunpla or figures? In one of the photos Bandai has on the back, it looks like they may have done that to some of the armor.

I myself am getting into gunpla again after having built my first RX78 when I was still in the 5th grade, so ‘07 or ‘08. So over a decade of time has passed since my first and last build and the Little Sisters will be my next. I just don’t know wether it will be Luluc, Taisha, Rishetta, or Far since they’ve all come home still in their packages and recently purchased Suletta Mercury. I’m beyond excited to start.

Personally I'm not much of a guy who would buy mecha girl figures But dammit Mecha, you paired her with Barbatos Being brown skin is one thing, Barbatos is another, I'm gonna buy this and a standard HG Barbatos to make a custom Lupus and Rex maybe would look great with her also but I do like the aesthetic of the standard Barbatos, plus I'd like her to be less beast and more armored up, Lupus and Rex just adds that bit of savageness that won't fit with the custom I have in mind

Aye! The A.T.K Girl line is fantastic. The first few kits had some issues, but most of that has long since been fixed. The line's only real problem still is that the faces aren't on Koto's level, but to be fair Koto has their faceplates designed by famous artists every single time, so that's hard to compete with. However, to make up for it, A.T.K Girls have colored part separation and surface detail that directly rivals and sometimes beats out the Megami Device line. It's a shame Mecha is so horrifically biased against Koto's girls (he's literally made fun of in the mecha musume community because of it), because they still offer infinitely more than the 30MS girls do.

What I hate about the 30ms is...LACK OF EYES DECALS. Bandai just force me to buy 3rd party bootleg decals....great. Or use some leftover eyes decals from kotobukiya's kit. I don't get it, this line of kits are meant to be customized and most of us will paint the kit, and they expect me not to paint the skin parts?

That's one of the reasons 30MS kits are only considered middling when it comes to the various quality mecha musume lines out there. It's definitely a huge drawback. Granted, most customs builders these days just order the Goddess-tier face decals from Amaii39/Kaitenchop, but it'd still be nice to at least have SOME options included in the box.

That'd be really cool since, like you said, DAL has GREAT designs for their ladies. That's definitely not happening here though. Bandai doesn't really do crossovers with series like that. It'd be more likely that Koto would since their MD and FA:Girl line have already had similar crossovers.

That's part of the issue, aye. Most shipments are stuck in port due to the artificial restrictions placed on incoming ships right now. The other half of the issue is that Bandai is having problems with the Chinese company they use to make their faceplates, meaning they're unable to fulfill the wholesale orders from hobby stores. That's supposed to be cleared up within the next three months though, so supply and prices should stabilize within that time frame.
