The Neue Ziel was a Zeon-developed mobile armour seen in 0083 Stardust Memory. Its considered a sort of predecessor to the Alpha Azieru from Char's Counterattack.

Only in part. The mobile armor AMA-00GR Zero GR was the basis for Neue Ziel. The Zero GR along with the NZ-222 Psyco Doga became the Alpha Azieru. The Neue Ziel itself would been developed into Neue Ziel II for Char to use, while the Alpha Azieru - along with Neue Ziel - seem to be the basis inspiration for AMA-X4 Ahava Azieru

The Neue-Ziel, the Delaz Fleet's little ace in the hole and their last machine, described as "the symbol of Zeon in its purest form". Developed for space combat, the thing's armed with a lot of beam weapons and missiles, an i-Field and its arms can be detached and act as sem-drone weapons, tethered to wires. Normally, such a technology could only be used by Newtypes, but because of the wires, someone like Gato can use them freely.

Don't forget, the Neue Ziel was originally planned out by the Principality of Zeon along with the Qubeley towards the late stages of the war but they were unable to complete or even start producing it.
