this is the heart of gundam in general, the character development, the action. Tbh some gundam story lines are a little to fantasy and pulls away from the original concept of why gundam was even made. This right here is a masterpiece, I recommend this movie to people who's never given gundam a try.. its no wonder they're usually hooked afterwards

Things get crazier in the Manga. Daryl becomes a newtype when the Psycho Zaku turned into a Gundam known as the Perfect Gundam and combined with a Braw Bro, Io kills Cornelius, and in the latest chapter, all mobile suits from Zeta Gundam are introduced into the story despite taking place years before UC 0087. Yeah, they literally borrowed Zeta's designs, instead of making their own spin on them.

this is a great representation of the tru grit of the UC79 incident. the tough losses and always feeling like the war is bigger than yourself. those who dont find a place in the madness wont survive

@@AsbestosEater1they mention that he gets an adrenaline rush while fighting in war bc it makes him forget about the bad stuff like his fathers suicide but his friend explains it being more like a curse. He feels bad for him bc it’s like he’s chasing a never ending rush and he also mentioned that war will keep making you want more of that rush until inevitably it consumes their humanity or basically die. Most would see that as crazy 😅

It's actually pretty optimistic by gundam standards. Gruesome in places Gundam doesn't usually touch, more realistical, but nobody reunites with their long lost mother by having her severed head fall in their lap in this show. I'd go with gritty

​@pergys6991 Have a freind who learned Japanese to enjoy anime, he insists the main reason people think this is because most anime fans don't know what bad acting sounds like in Japanese, and for balance the same thing sometimes happens I'm reverse when dubs make it back to Japan. It ain't just fans either, 08th MS Team's director prefers the English dub and Tomino basically hates Japan's entire modern VA industry All this not to rib on sub or dub enjoyers, I just like to remind people that it's a silly thing to be snobs about

Even the RX 78 would be stupid to try to finish off a Zaku 1 when a whole fleet of mobile suits is trying to retrieve the Zaku 1. It may be a Zaku 1 but the pilot is heavily important. Unlike RX 78 in which the mobile suit is more important. Zeon saw the Zaku 1 pilot as more important. Amuro would be dead if he kept trying to kill that Zaku 1 after the flash bang.

Yes. Federation mobile suits can eject their coreblocks as a means of escape. The Gundam, Guntank and GunCannon were able to eject their coreblocks into Core Fighters as to be still combat able.
