I randomly came across your gundam buying guide. I now own 2 metal builds both were purchased from ebay. Last time when i went to Japan in Nov 2023 i has zero clue about Gundam prebuilt collectibles such as Metal Builds. I ended buying some Robot Spirits but now i know what i want, metal builds. This guide is PERFECT for me, for my future trip to Japan and Im from London. Thank you so so much brother, i wrote down all the shops on my notes app now haha. I never knew there were this many metal build shops. I went to Gundam Base tokyo assuming there was metal builds, i went to Akihabara tamashii shop and found Hi Nu metal build and the strike gundam Metal build, i qeued up 40 mins to get in! I just didnt know where to look back then. Keep up the great work.!

right now i order kits at amazon, when i compute the total cost of shipping vs when travelling to different places cost is the same, and sometimes more expensive than doing an online purchase

Are the non-limited models standard price across different shops? Otherwise which ones are the most reasonable?

For non limited, mostly they applied the MSRP, except for tax-free. In Akihabara, The cheapest would be 1.Yodobashi - 2.Yellow submarines radio kaikan - 3. Ami Ami Radio Kaikan

for the metal build, I already told in the video :D for damashii metal robots, you can find them in many shops. but I suggest you go to Yodobashi Akiba and Radio Kaikan building (especially a shop named X-Akihabara )

Perfect grade is a bit hard to find sometimes. But I thought I saw some PG's in Surugaya Akihabara,Otachuu Akihabara, Mandarake Complex,and Mandarake Nakano

Do they do tax returns at the store?

in Mandarake complex, they give you tax returns after you spend a minimum of 5000 yen. and some stores give you tax-free

Is it true Gundam base are low on inventory for gunpla kits? It was point out by a few KZbinr on their recent trip to Japan.

it's not always like that, depending on the moment. most of the time, the stock is often well maintained. but the last time I was there at the beginning of this month, the Gundam base used a lottery system (for a whole week) to determine who could enter.

When I went in 2023, they had a lot of Gundam Base exclusives but not a lot of regular releases. When I go back I'll definitely take a peek again though
