But I also think this is the plot of the show intended to show us how Kira and the archangel crew progressed into later episodes, to actually have a better plan and understand their actions also have consequences even when they believe that they are the “good guys”. Basically everyone grows a little bit in this show. It also make the defeat of the freedom in the hand of Shin are much more ironic scene later imo.

I love how they portrayed the Faith faction as an independent faction and not another helping hand for the MC. Akira disabling all units, either Zaft, Minerva or Orb, just to make them all retreat really shows that this faction is not gonna fk around and wait to have a chance of negotiations. I think Kira's harsh point towards Cagalli goes underrated, and he's the bad cop to Lacus' good cop. He means well, but he's not wrong that Cagalli is already too broken from everything prior to be in the right mind to deal with ORB as is. Lacus, in turn, is trying to hope that Cagalli is a little stronger in resolved now that she's away from ORB. But unfortunately, Kira's more spot on than even he'd like. Course, anyone who paid attention to the entirety of SEED and how Rau haunts him would understand where he's coming from.

In the end they not only destroyed the Gundams but all mobile suits were destroyed. And the Gundam Wing team pretty much fought everyone be it OZ/Alliance/White Fang they were basically their own faction. Unlike celestial being they didn't have a supercomputer to help them determine who the actual enemies are if anything closest thing they had to veda was the zero system, GL with that.

If you had the power to neutralize the threat anyone posed to those around you non-lethally, you would take it. Saying that you would kill....you don't really understand how horrific it would be to take anyone's life. And as said by either Mu or Andy, getting used to it is not a good thing. And this honestly shows that the point of his journey in SEED was missed. Killing Nicol was the straw that broke the camel's back, because it made Athrun hate him. From then on, he doesn't want to be directly responsible for killing someone and then having someone hate him for it. Only one person deserved to be an exception: Rau Le Creuset, the man who wanted to cause them ALL to die.

Thinking about it now, seems like the most effective weapon for killing higher tier supporting characters... is Blade type weapons. Miguel, Aisha (Andrew GF), ZnO commander, Nicol, Shani, Orga, Rau, and Heine here (as of this episode to not say much to people who are watching SD for the first time, since people mostly rewatch this channel's series when they return) all got outted by Blade type weapons.

It's a physical weapon striking a PS armored gundam. Unless it's at least as dense as Raider Gundam's mace then it won't do any physical damage whatsoever. It's perfectly serviceable vs other non-PS mass produced units. As for the beam vulcan, you're trading beam rifle's range for fire rate. Again, actually a good complement to the GOUF's melee-oriented build.

As someone who plays SD Gundam G Generation Wars, I can relate. My lv 20 God Gundam casting Sekiha Tenkyouken in Super Critical Tension supposed to kill most bosses, but it didn't kill him, only damaging him by 15k damage. His melee damage in fact, almost makes my full HP God Gundam dies.
