Liked. (Been subscribed for a while.) It is a very rare day that that I do not carry a revolver, or two. My mission? Well, hmm, I reckon that the two little dogs see My Mission as taking them for walks, and on occasional road trips. Mission accepted! It is good to not have totally outlived my usefulness. Well, actually, my head was under my elderly mother’s kitchen sink, earlier in the week, turning pipe wrenches. I will drive an elderly neighbor to her bank tomorrow, and will up-gun for that; probably my Glock 17, a former duty pistol, in addition to a revolver. So, yes, I have occasional additional missions. It is good to be retired from big-city LEO-ing; the gear from that “mission” got to be a bit heavy, though not as heavy as the mental burden. I last wore my Level III plates, for a duty shift, in January 2018. I fully agree that American Express Cards are vital pieces of gear! Pay others do the driving in the dark, and to do (most of) the heavy lifting. Sorry for the pre-/inadequately-caffeinated babbling. Let’s all be safe and well! 😉

I agree that a lot of people bend over backwards to justify a hobby, instead of just admitting they like impractical stuff. Everyone has their "train set". Enjoy it.

Oh how I hate this phrase... A simple concept blown out of proportion by wannabe commandos and former GWOT guys who just want to sound commanding and intelligent while telling you your gear is wrong.
