I know most competitors tend to stick to the “five beans in the cradle rule.” Do most competitions expect you to also follow that rule or is it preference?

Yes, that's the rule in competition... max of 5 in the cylinder.

great video, i was wondering how to apply quick draw with open carry or conceal carry defense, maybe a 38 revolver, be intrested to hear how quick draw guys carry in public, has anyone even brought up this subject, and wish people could make videos on it.
