I agree. I don’t know the exact width of that locking piece, but this could potentially let you get another 10lb plate on each side since it looks thinner than a regular collar plus it could save some time when swapping weights.

Hi! We are making dumbbells as we speak, first a 25mm sleeve type (1" plate holes) and later an Olympic (50mm) variant, we just have to do more testing to ensure pristine quality!

@@scarrington they're literally not comparable. The craftsmanship on this is equal to that of a Kabuki bar. Where the rubber meets the road is knurling, and I've yet to use a Rogue bar that has knurling that last the test of time. And in that case, if you care to know for trivia's sake, I can say that it's pronounced either "Goong-neer" or "Gong-neer" with the R rolling at the tip of your tongue or sharply in the back of your throat (we have two Rs), depending on dialect. 😅

One is made with chrome while the other (Rogue) is coated in Chrome only Big Deal. They both have a lifetime warranty. Hi Danny, this was one of our ideas in the beginning, but like Chrontard says, there are so many variants of shafts. Also, we want to make sure that every bar has a durability we can put our name on, and that leaves only a very few bar manufacturers (Eleiko, Kabuki etc.)

My idea would be a T plate that screws into the end cap, with ball bearing in the end of the screw to stabilise, then a small remote control to release the ball bearing to unscrew and additional headless bolt to put in as to not compromise bar strength

So many people complaining but i honestly love this idea and would love a barbell like this even with its terrible price tag. And those who say its better to buy collars well the best collars cost 40 or more with heavy priced shipping less you spend alot of money and the cheaper collars get broke too often by numbnuts who love throwing them or slamming weights on them. I will iterate I believe this is built more for crossfitters, olympic lifters, or athletes who do multiple compound lifts not so much for bodybuilders, regular gym goers, or powerlifters so I would look at perspective about it.

My guy has probably like 100k worth of gym equipment and he doesnt even look super big and strong like someone who would work out a lot. I still love the content, it's awesome and super informational, no hate at all because some people just have different body goals. I had just thought ab that and thought it was kinda funny.

Great video but please edit the audio so i can’t hear you breathe so much. (You breath like a normal human, it’s just uncomfortable. Have you ever done a wod with other people and no music?...hearing the breathing is weird. That’s how i felt watching this video)

I am way way to OCD for that slop. 100% bar or plate damage from prolonged use. No way that thing holds up with 600+ lb pulls.

Looks great but it’s not 100% snug onto the plate. Lots of clanking/noise and the collar most likely will damage the metal on the plate over time of dropping regularly.

If you train at home, alone, with no power rack and the safeties in the right level DON'T use this bar for benching. Even without the collars the weights don't slide of easily and that's a recipe for bad things to happen. I cannot stress this point enough...

Concerning you climbing on top squat rack Why take unnecessary risks cause you never know because if you fell it could be devastating to you and others who rely on you. You should were safety strap roofers use and connectto cieling beam . U can purchase at home depot to be osha approved. Its just a thought God bless you and your family

When I saw the thumbnail I automatically knew I would love it and it doesn't look cheap. It looks well made and thought out.

I would rather just buy 2 barbells with collars for that price. Gimmicky expensive items do not interest me. I would like to see how it performs in 5 years with a little wear and tear on the grooves, or perhaps a bit of rust.

for dumbells, perfect, I will trust that collar to not drop weight on me, for barbell... its really hard to justify because I dont have weight fall off so the trust in the weight being in place is un needed

I like it, I get your point though, $800/ £600 odd is a lot of money for a bar that is t proven yet. Good though, great idea.

Cool idea but I’ll keep my 300 dollar Texas power bar with my proloc collars for the price.
