One of the best amines I ever watched. I thank my cousin for introducing me to this anime one weekend 15 years ago. I think he bought the complete dvd set and we binge-watched it from Friday night to Saturday night. The story was so great and dark. Great times.

This blows G.O.R.E. out of the water with minimum effort. The music, the cutscene direction, the camera work, the character design... Just shows how twenty years don't mean much in terms of quality. Especially when it's completely other people doing the newer thing.

same, had i known about the game i may have forgiven more of the anime's "sins" explains a lot of the "making hellsing look like it's conservative with the action sequences" (an anime that actually took the time to let you now it was going to be ALL about the stylish violence) with extended stationary handgun shooting sections that i remember making me bored within a minute dut to them being performed by frankensteins-edgelord-monster. vastly preferred the backstory to the gene-mod killing spree.

I played the game before watching the anime (a couple years before watching so my memory of certain things were iffy) and I was waiting the entire anime for the whole alien heaven looking place. Instead I got a feels trip :'(

I remember getting the game for the PS2 Sadly it was bugged as all the cutscenes were replaced with the shortest cutscene of each stage played over again and again in their place...The Game was Great though and I loved GunGrave: Overdose too! The Anime is still my favorite to this day...and I always thought I wasn't a fan of shows that had Gangsters!

Never played this title, but it sure looks superb for it's time. And the whole Anime is damn too much dark and heavy, it's great for what it is but I wish they gave a proper closure to Mika and Brandon. I like this ending and the Anime however the Anime is very detailed and top class animation by Madhouse and score too.

God this series is cool. Overdose sucks, yes, but the first game and the anime are really damn good, telling fairly similar stories with wildly different tones. The game is pretty bombastic and epic, while the anime is depressing, yet satisfyingly bittersweet. G.O.R.E looks pretty promising too, but I'm still cautious as it does seem to have a few issues I've noticed that I'm hoping are ironed out. I love this series.
