Oh definitely, it's the most versatile style due to it being the combination of all the style he has, a great crowd control, good combos and fast attacks with good range. The biggest selling point is the Counter Stab, it gets powerful the lower your health is and you can practically cheese every bosses in Legend (including Jo Amon) by just spamming the counter stab

So Amon was easy as hell...because I cheesed him with Beast, but Jo was completely different. I'm kind of embarrassed I didn't know that Majima had a breaker counter until I saw this video (2nd playthrough in NG+ is why lol), once this video revealed that you can get easy counters on Jo whilst he was in Mad Dog style, well, it wasn't easy still but it made it possible for me, thanks lol.
