I happen to have the Blackhawk and the alien gear. I haven’t tried the alien gear for appendix yet though, but the full package comes with I think the cloak or whatever and that is the most comfy holster I have ever worn. I really do like the Blackhawk as well but I will admit wearing it appendix is quite uncomfortable while sitting! I usually wear it 3-4 and it’s great there, easy to put on in a hurry too. Only thing I dislike about the alien gear, takes more effort to put on.

It would appear that after reading the comments, there are holsters by many manufactures that fit each person's on requirements. It's like opinions, everybody has one. You just have to try and find one that suites you.

Just like firearms the type of holster and carry position you choose is a very personal choice but here is something to think about appendix carry holsters . I have 2 friends that will never carry that way ever again because of almost near fatal accidents and I do know of a story where someone holstering their firearm discharged the gun hitting the femural artery and died in just minutes , That's why I've always chosen to carry off to my side. Just something to think about.

Came over here from S&W forum article you wrote.looking for a light weight 22 revolver.always liked the S&W 317 with 3" ,LCRX 3" seems nice too. reading A lot about the cam trigger design,or whatever it's called.held one of each,once apiece.couldn't dry fire so there's that.& Now there's the Taurus 942 in all sorts of build material' s & finishes.Snubbies + maybe 2.5 "-3" & price seems right .Taurus seems to have worked out the kinks with canted barrels/quality control issues ect.oppinions???not against an older model in good shape.not interested in paying panic buying price on anything .what would you do if you were me? "IF"I can even find one of any of these anywhere anytime soon.Have $ on hand to pay in full.any advice on where to look?ALSO....With S&W's,they always have no dash,317-1,317-2,317-3(saw one of the dash 3's in store ,online,lightly used $700 ish...are there any subtle differences between those dash models on that kit gun that you know of & if so what are they??As far as air weight s go,had a S&W 638 one time(bought new early 90s but can't remember if or what dash # was.?.)couldn't stand the white ish silver that was chipping off of parts of the frame ...What's that all about? & I'd like to avoid another one with that paint...HELP PLEASE!!! Tier 1 Axis Elite is hands down the best AIWB holster money can buy. You might not want to spend the money, but when you do, you'll never buy from anywhere else again, unless they don't have one to fit your gun. They don't make holsters for cheap guns, sorry!

Pff all these compact / subcompact holsters. Just grow bigger. I carry an appendix, double clip for an HK45 with a Surefire x300u and a 2 mag holster. Easily concealed with a t-shirt and comfortable.
