Great review Gunnar, and thank you for recommending this front wing a few months back. It has worked very well for me here in Barbados on pretty much any conditions both for winging and prone foiling. The speed is outstanding , control and lift also are incredible.

Another excellent review. I actually bought this wing as soon as I saw your first winging video with it last summer and it hasn't disappointed. Even as an average wingfoiler I agree with all your points. After 3 sessions I sold my W1100 I get about the same low end with the W1000 very early lift just different technique. I just couldn't ride the 1100 anymore it felt like I had a bucket on the stabilizer. The speed is fantastic on this wing but what I really appreciate is the insane glide and pumping efficiency it's like lulls don't exist and on any wave or wind bump this wing delivers big smiles. I recently switched from the 400 stabilizer to the 330 with about a 1MM shim ( credit card ) and while it's ever slightly more drag than the 400 I can push it much harder faster upwind and in turns without fear of sliding it out. 🤙

Hey ozone flyer, I’m on the 1100 with 82 mast. Looking at the 950 for my progression. As i understand the 1000 won’t fit on the same mast as the 1100? Otherwise i might consider the 1000 rather than the 950. I want to keep my 1100 for light winds.

Hi. Excellent review thank you for making the video. I can’t wait for the W800 review, will appreciate if you can include a brief contrast to the W718 which has been dropped please? And also a little more talk about W800 vs 670 & 671. Regards.

Thanks for your live reviews. It would be great if you would also talk about the different wind wings you have used. I'm particularly interested in your opinion of some of the newer wings that have booms and/or mini booms.

This video has been my reference for buying and using the W1000 as my main wing. After trying to find my low end today I could start this wing at 12-13 knots with a 4.5 slick and lots of wing and foil pumping. What is the lightest you could start it? Anyone had similar experience?

Hey great review Gunnar, just found this video...I am a wind foiler. I use the 790 front wing & 450 stab and love the foils. I find the 790 is awesome huge wind range, fun swell riding and gybing but I max out at about 22 mph for speed. Looking for a front wing with similar wind range and rideability but faster! Sounds like this wing would be a good fit Do you agree & would you recommend it?
@GunnarBiniasch
@GunnarBiniasch 3 жыл бұрын
Hi. The 1000 won¨t be compatible with your 900 Fuselage. You would need to get the Slalom FW1010 or FW1150 fuselage for that. Alternativly the new 940 is a lot faster than the 790 with similar low end.

Hi Gunnar thanks for your excellent reviews. I started wingfoiling last year and made good progress. I've got the 710, S483, M82 and W1100 front wing. I noticed with stronger winds (>20 knots) that the top speed is rather low. I'm considering to buy a smaller front wing that I can use in stronger winds. I saw your review of the W1000 and the W790 and you suggest that both can be used in winds from 15knots and higher. What would be your suggestion as the ideal front wing as a next step? tnx

Thanks for all the reviews. Your original moses 633 videos and 1100/82 reviews had the biggest influence on my moses purchases. So I have the original 2017 slingshot ghost whisper foil tucked away that has the older style moses kite fuselage with the pointy nose and a 107mast (which has a much deeper cord and stiffness than the moses 91). I was hoping to use it for the 1000. I am currently using the 633 and 1100 with a stance of approximately 23-24" (for both kiting and winging) from the center of my front strap to the center of the mast plate. When you use the 1000 with straps in higher winds (say above 20kn) what is the distance between the center of your front foot strap to the center of your moses mast? And then how far behind the center of the mast is the center of your back footstrap in for jumping? Thanks, I just quit coffee, but I'll buy you one soon.

Thanks for all your reviews. I'm going to learn to wingfoil this year and I was thinking to get the w790. But could I learn with this wing? I've never wing foiled before but I have been kite foiling for years. Thanks

Hi Rodney. I would go for the 950 instead. You can learn on that and it will serve you well even when you are at a higher level.

Great Review. Thank you! If I understand correctly, then with less Volume/Area you should always move the mast more forward. Correct?
@GunnarBiniasch
@GunnarBiniasch 3 жыл бұрын
No. That is not correct. It depends on the geometry of the Glider. On the Moses W1000 with Kite Fuselage the Front wing is very close to the mast, or in other terms the center of balance is father back and needs to be compensated by moving the mast forward.
@zdavatz
@zdavatz 3 жыл бұрын
@@GunnarBiniasch Ok, thank you! Why is Moses putting the Frontwing so close to the mast? Better turnability?
@GunnarBiniasch
@GunnarBiniasch 3 жыл бұрын
@@zdavatz Moses doesn't put the mast more forward on all their foils. Just on the kite fuselage and windfoil ones. But basically the closer the mast is to the front wing the farther you can position the mast forward of your back foot which makes for more leverage for jumping and turning

How does this compare to the Axis ART 999? Wich has lower stall speed/ lowend range? It would be great to hear your toughts on these two wings, since they are very similar.

As you say it’s the racing WIND foil, that is also used for WING or SURF foil, ... doesn’t make much sense for it to use a KITE fuselage 🤷‍♂️ A shorter fuselage can be obtained moving the stabilizer a bit foward.
@GunnarBiniasch
@GunnarBiniasch 3 жыл бұрын
Not quite correct Christian. The mast is also father forward and the fuselage is lighter. Also to make the 1000 or 800 work with the 710 fuselage the wing would have to be mads with much more chord and thickness in the middle to fit. This would be quite draggy.
@mikesiddells3211
@mikesiddells3211 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, couple of questions: - does your pumping technique change for the W1000 compared to lower aspect wings eg shorter/ faster cadence, or more two footed? - I’m considering a stiffer Moses mast around 90cm long for wingfoiling swell- the 82cm is too short for me and the 91cm kite mast seems too flexi. Any reason that a Vento 85 windfoil mast with a plate adapter couldn’t work - they are supposedly stiffer? Thanks
@GunnarBiniasch
@GunnarBiniasch 3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Pumping technique is slightly different. It's more about staying higher on the foil and pushing as hard. You currently cannot use the Windsurf masts on the kite or surf Fuselages. The plug is longer. You can route out the plug hole to make it work.

Hey gunnar, how much performance would one lose by making the wing tips less sharp? I am afraid to fall onto it (w800 for kiting) been thinking about sanding the tips a bit. Thoughts?
@GunnarBiniasch
@GunnarBiniasch 3 жыл бұрын
To be honest the trailing edge is more sharp than the wingtip itself. Unless you are all about racing, sanding down the tips or the trailing edge will not cost you too much performance.

Which of the new front wings coming out (945, 940 etc) would be " most" similar to the 1000, but that can be used on the surf fuselage (710) for winging?
@GunnarBiniasch
@GunnarBiniasch 3 жыл бұрын
Well the 945 or 940 cannot been used on the 710 Fuselage. They are only compatible with the new 700 fuselage. The 940 has the same low-end as the 1000 and is very resistant to ventilation. But it's not as fast
