Sirs, I am very sorry to take the liberty to be candid to say that, in the political history of the North East India from the colonial time to 1947 is completely silent about Manipur and Tripura and it stopped at Assam. Is it to treat the two ancient kingdoms when Assam was already a part of the British Raj they were not so as political nonentities or else. Manipur already a political history under the king Gambhir Singh and the Anglo-Manipur war 1891. Some Army officers attempt to make a caricature of this war locally called Khongjom War as if it was nothing significant to write off Manipur as nothing. This is consistent with the disrespect and not complying by the successive rulers at Delhi of the terms and conditions of the Merger Agreement 1949. That Manipur had a 2000 years history is undermined though the British, even medieval China called it a little brahmin. and accepted by the Union Government of the newly independent India aa a kingdom. This is not to support any demand for sovereignty by the valley insurgents who were almost wiped in the 90. Safeguarding the Territorial Integrity of Manipur is one of the terms and conditions of the Merger Agreement 1949. How the Security Experts explain Delhi' total forgetting of the concerned terms and conditions of the said agreement? This issue is related to the ongoing attempt to destroy the territorial integrity of Manipur

Neighboring relations with India have not been damaged because of China but because of India's foreign policy and the mindset of the government and people of india. The neighborly relations with India have been damaged. No one likes bossing in today's world. A win-win situation based on equality and interest of both countries will actually have a good sustainable relationship, otherwise the relationship will not be good and sustainable. Time has come for Indian to introspect on their mistakes. 90% of my own interests, 10% of my neighbor's interests they have to get out of this mentality, they should reduce jealousy and be tolerant if India want to get big power in this region. If the neighbor stay well, then country will be stable and get benefits from that. An example in this case; The farmers of West Bengal and Seven Sisters are getting good prices for their crops due to the increase in the standard of living of the people of Bangladesh. Remember, China is helping everyone by loans but not sticking its nose in internal affairs...

As far as the situation is concern, more arms and ammunition for the Meitei militants are being lobbied by the state govt, the Generals knows this too well. One of the most informative presentations on a subject that most Indians do not have a knowledge of and a feel for.I saw this from end to end- and I knew much more, and I felt I had a much better feel for the issues in the North East and its importance for India and the world, and of the various actors , some trans0national with hostile agendas towards the integrity of India.Thank Gen Nair and you for an excellent overview; one which I feel should be made compulsory reading for all who venture opinions on the subject; also for all curious Indians looking for authentic information on issues crucial to the security of India.👃👃👃👃👃

North East of India are going to be independent states. China is going to invade Arunachala (South Tibet). Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland along with Chin state of Myanmar are emerging as a single Christian state by direct assistance of USA. Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, West Bengal and Rakhine (Arakan) state of Myanmar would probaly join Bangladesh to form Greater Bengal. These incidents are possible as WWIII is imminent.
