Just got this kit on backorder from Hobbylink Japan. Mazinger Z was a big part of my wifes childhood and we want to introduce it to our kids so I've sourced the original Anime for her to watch with them for "Mummy and Me" days. The kit is going to be a surprise for her when it arrives. She doesnt build but I do, but the goal is to have a representation of his favourite anime on her desk in our office. Amazing build and as always you've inspired me to push myself as a model maker.

That is the Power of Mazin! Thank you sir you just struck a cord in me with this build because I am old school and used to watch this with my nephew before work. Your work is always topnotch and straight forward as always. Thank you for the great kit and the fantastic presentation!

This video is epic. Reminds me why I love the hobby so much. I wish I had my old place so I can have room for am airbrush. I have been cooped up in a small room since the pandemic and I don't have room for anything.

A bit late to the party subbing your channel, but wanted to compliment your weathering effects; quite figuratively Just Right, man. Sometimes I overdo these - I think you struck just the right balance. Cheers!

Ah, technoman blade, one of my earliest memories... I remember being a kid who couldn't even read and being with my grandfather and him telling what was said (didn't understand English yet either). It took me close to 20 years to find out it was technoman blade when I was playing a wii game at a friends place and the background seeming familiar. The scene in question was when the main character got tied up with tentacles by the main villain, who at that time was only a head in a jar. So thanks for bringing that one up again :) Also, love the scribing, I was thinking it came that way out of the box.

LOL you are the only person I've ever heard mention Captain Bucky O'hare! Also that list of shows sounds like a great way to get into anime! Also I'd like to say I really like your stuff! It's very inspirational. I recently started to airbrush my gunpla, and I hope to one day get into LED lighting! Keep on building dude! : D.

Hey Otaku! I loved the music selection for this video. It has an old school classic 80's and Gloria Estafan vibe to it. I'm not the biggest fan of Manzinger but I love your paint job also.

Gorgeous ! This video could have been better if you had displayed the massive size of this model. Nevertheless your work is beautiful.
@grey46124 жыл бұрын
Absolutely beautiful what you did with the kit. What's the small red figure you had in the beginning?
@Vipermecha4 жыл бұрын
Very well done, one thing you could also do was light up a rocket punch, also liked how you hand painted the details. If I may make a suggestion, how bout some ZOIDS for your next kit, Liger Zero, Blade Liger or the Liger Murasame, just to name a few. Keep up the good work as always.

I had a toy like that back in the 1970's.
@AvengerII4 жыл бұрын
That was probably Mazinga from the Shogun Warrior toyline. I think they also brought over Getter Robo, Grandizer, I dunno. Mazinga I remember. They were also supposed to translate all those animated shows to tie in but they never got the licenses. In the mid-1980s the original Mazinger Z was brought to the US and renamed "Tranzor Z" with an awful English dub. I was a kid at the time and I realized that dub was bad! The Mazinga toy that was part of the Shogun Warrior line was actually a renamed, imported GREAT Mazinger toy. I had one of those. He had firing rocket fingers. I used to knock over wood blocks with those rockets.

You didn´t use the Manzinger Z theme song during the build , that is ilegal in different countries and deserts 10 thumb downs but I will give you a thumb up because you did a excellent job.

Love the videos! Do you ever add paint instead of stickers? I'm thinking of some of the RX-78 models that had a gold cross sticker for the shield. Also, do you have a video on removing nub marks and paneling, something for entry to mid-level builders?
@OtakuBuilder4 жыл бұрын
I try my best to stay away from stickers because it looks really awkward on the surface. So I primarily stick with waterslide decals. Ask for a video tutorial on how to remove Nubs I don't have one at the moment but it is requested I will do it.

Hey Otaku, I know I'm kinda late but are you interested on doing MG 1/100 "Psycho Zaku". I know it's a time consuming build and difficult to find one online due to the situation we are in. But if you would do a build or review that would be greatly appreciated. Because I ordered one and I'm slightly worried about the build and interested on how you would build it. Thanks
@OtakuBuilder4 жыл бұрын
Maybe?! It all depends if I can order anything myself. It's becoming more and more to keep making Gundam content when it's difficult to purchase them right now.

Which LEDs do you use from Evans Design? I have purchased the “separated 7/19 V AC/DC in 8”.. but I see that I still have to connect the resistor for the LED to work properly. Please advise Thanks
@OtakuBuilder4 жыл бұрын
Chip and mega led. 3volts. I show that information on the video.
@Porateku4 жыл бұрын
Otaku Builder I have not seen this on your channel as of yet, you may already have a video on it, but, have you, or do you have videos on how to properly wire LEDs to the gunpla? Lime a full on video explanation?

I love Mazinger but it kinda sucks that their 1/60 kit is just a larger version of the 1/144... would have loved a completely new and more challenging build
@sinanjubaron12744 жыл бұрын
I would like to point out that the HG infinity line isn't properly scaled with other scaled model kits, seeing as how mazinger is 18 meters tall, just slightly smaller then the RX-78-2. But then again I could be wrong.
@frankfunke41304 жыл бұрын
I dont know anything about the robot but this seems like a LOT of panels even for a PG. I like Panel lines but was there this much detail in the cartoon?
@mechaman884 жыл бұрын
That's not a PG. If anything, it's built along the lines of a Mega Size kit. But the animation WAS that sectional on the panels. Mazinger Z Infinity, rather.
@frankfunke41304 жыл бұрын
@@mechaman88 Thanks for the answer. I love the looks on the panels.
@xyzpl4 жыл бұрын
Not in the original, but they "modernized" it for the movie "Mazinger Z: Infinity" that was released in 2017.
