These videos and the drumming in general has been some of the most rewarding stuff I have done in recent years. So I really appreciate the support!
NOW TO THE TRACK! Need more cowbell? ... Look no further! This is SUCH a killer song, and that Solo by Slash! UGH! so good. Steven Adler lays down an insane drum track for this one.
I had nearly a perfect take on attempt 13.. But botched the china pattern on the outro.. Like legit, all the music had faded out. But I'm insane.. So I had to start over... I'm pumped about the mix on this one, I feel like I finally dialled in a snare sound that I kinda like.

Thank you so much, here is the response from another one of your comments :) I typically learn by ear, then I play the song over and over and over again until I have all the small parts memorized. I spend days studying before recording. But in all honestly, Ive listened to these songs and albums for YEARS! So that really helps! In terms of learning, I'd recommend just picking out the main beats, and not worrying too much about all the fancy fills and such. Keep it simple and have fun, eventually the rest will come once you have a good base down :)

@@tinytroop7593 that’s awesome! And honestly, I think just a basic rock cowbell would do just fine, the bigger the bell, the deeper the tone! There is a premium on any signature model for the name alone… so I’d say save that money and go for a regular model 🤘

So for me, this has been a life long hobby and although it doesn’t bring any real income.. it brings me so much joy. And I just want to share that with all of you guys. Great question!! What size is your cowbell?

I’m pretty sure that’s a 9” in this cover. Dixon makes a good one, but if you beat them up they crack pretty quick. You might want to look into an LP with a ridge rider edge on it. Just ads a bit more structure to it when you hit. Hope that helps 🤘

@@dougg6350 no worries dude! Honestly, try some local used listings. That’s where I get most of my gear. Also, I wouldn’t bother with “signature artist” cowbells. You’re just paying for a name at that point and there’s probably cheaper options that sound just as good 🤘
