Well, they're mostly back together now. But yeah, they kind of stopped existing after the Use Your Illusion era. I mean, I can listen to Chinese Democracy, and there are some good tracks on it, but I wouldn't consider it a masterpiece. That said, if you disappear for 15 years, it becomes kind of hard to make a strong comeback.

It's interesting how strongly associated they are with LA, and still none of them was both born and raised there. Izzy and Axl's from Indiana, Duff from Seattle. Slash and Steven were raised in LA mostly, but born in London and Cleveland respectively. Of course, big cities have a tendency to suck people in, but imagine if just one of them had ended up somewhere else, like New York, San Francisco or whatever. It would have been a completely different sound and story. You just need all five of them.

@@Thecures1 Soooo many great ones. Van Halen, Motley Crue, Ratt, Twisted Sister, Scorpions , Def Leppard and tons more. The great thing about the 80’s was that there was rock, grunge, pop, alternative. All different kinds but equally amazing. I really miss the music and life in the 80’s .
