My dad named me after this song. He told my mom "if I ever have a daughter, I'm naming her Patience" and that's how I came to be. He passed when I was 16 in 2020 due to a heart attack. Damn I think of my dad and me jamming out to old great rock music. He passed in November of 2023 at 53. I’m 29. I miss him every damn day!! Talked to him everyday.. I miss him always!!!… I just know we are still rocking together till this day!! He was the one who got me into rock music and loving drums at a young age. He was never a drummer. I'm an "empty nester," now and "Patience" got me here: thru years of marriage I thought would kill me -- into true marital bliss (still with same God-given woman [there's no doubt you're in my heart, now, Kimberly])! My mom had this album. I remember this, as well as many others, being played throughout a lot of my youth which helped shape my path into music. She would always say after this song “ patience is the one thing in life that will get you the farthest” , boy was she right.
