My dad named me after this song. He told my mom "if I ever have a daughter, I'm naming her Patience" and that's how I came to be. He passed when I was 16 in 2020 due to a heart attack. Whenever this song comes on the radio, I take it as a sign that my dad is here. Edit: Thank you all for your love 😭💕

To anybody reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind may clarity replace confusion. may peace and calmness fill your life. Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. Or they are alone, they miss someone, they are depressed, hurt, marked by the past, they have people that nobody knows, they have secrets that you would not believe. They want, they dream and they hope. And now, you're sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you won't feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed by the past, don't worry about the future and focus on today. If today is not so good, don't worry! Tomorrow is another opportunity. If you're reading this, please share it to share and make others feel better. Have a nice day!

Damn I think of my dad and me jamming out to old great rock music. He passed in November of 2023 at 53. I’m 29. I miss him every damn day!! Talked to him everyday.. I miss him always!!!… I just know we are still rocking together till this day!! He was the one who got me into rock music and loving drums at a young age. He was never a drummer. I fell in love with the sound of it and connection within bands sound in my own way. Glad I buried you with my main old drum sticks!.. fuck.. I Miss you dad and love you!!!!

This song is less about the rhythm, the beat, or the sound, it's more about the words. Axl (and the rest of the band) have gone through so much in their life, and this song is really putting it into words, It sounds like they are pleading for help. The tone in their voices are heartbreaking, which is what they meant for it to feel like. They are all so talented. Yes they are famous, but they also have a lonely life away from the stage. The haters don't understand that. Pouring their hearts out into this song, telling everything how it truly is, this isn't a made up scenario. It is their life. Give these people some love.

I always loved this song very much and it's just a masterpiece. Axl Rose had one of the most brilliant singing voices in rock history. Another example on why the 80's music was the pinnacle of the music industry. No singer today can even come close to Axle's range of vocals.

I am truly happy that I met you and when I’m older I want babies with you. I’m getting older and wiser. I want you so bad. You’re all I need to know that my dreams come true and I want you to have my back and my heart. I don’t want to go to Jail for nothing. I love you. I hope you can forgive me and fuck Lexi she’s nothing but a reason why I’m not with her because she broke us up. Hailey baby this is my life we’re talking about. I don’t want to be single anymore but I don’t wanna rush you. I want kids by you. I don’t have any kids yet. I want to be your man. I promise I won’t ever hurt you again. You are my best friend when we’re together and I need you now. You’re all I ever needed in my life. Nobody ever cared about you but I always love you your mom is a nice woman she’s way too old for me to be her man. I love you dearly dear and I hope you can see that. Then comes along COVID and I got it 3 time, almost losing the battle with the 1st. The COVID destroyed my body and health and at 72, I have to use a walker, and oxygen, and my memory is shot. @@NubsWithGuns Sure can bro. And the thing was that the fans were so much more into Metallica that night. Maybe because G&R were an hour late as usually ! Mr.Brownstone rocked out pretty hard . And the mosh pit for Metallica was the whole floor !!! It was fucking insane !Glad I was in the seats ! Late 80's & 90's , great time to grow up in that music scene. And I think Ugly Kid Joe opened up. And remember " these go to 11" .
