This is so true! 😢 I learned piano by dropping in at my aunt's house. I was about 7 or 8 then. One day, we were strolling on the mall, my aunt & her daughter and my mum & me, and there was a piano on display. My aunt mentioned to my mum I was really good at piano. My mum turned to me and said, "Really? Well, show me and maybe I'll buy you a piano". But I, with my chronic anxiety problems, afraid of exhibiting myself at that place, vehemently shook my head no and denied I loved the piano 😭. Got my first piano when I was 20. Progressing steadily, but it could've been different 😅😅

@@oddball_oddity cool story. When I took lessons from 10 yrs to 14 yrs old, my dad was always trying to get me to play for people, but I was too shy and wouldn't. I'm 43 and I wish I would have continued to play the past 20 years I would have been a lot better

@@tranhoanghuan I know these comments are from 5 years ago, but either way I agree with you. I come back to this video every once in a while for inspiration. Not only that, but musicians (real musicians like her, especially) have a lot of respect for other musicians. Especially novice, up-coming musicians, so I'm sure that's the last thing she wants people to think. Every musician has their own interpretation of certain songs. But, even if you're not as good as she is, it still gives you motivation to try.

Jordi Cirera Why should she be in the newspaper ? She didn't write the song, she merely made a cover. That's not to devalue what she's done though. And it's not talent, she's put many hours into playing piano, she wasn't born knowing how to play.Calling it talent makes it seem like it's nothing admirable. And for a cover she's got pretty nice view number i'd say.

I've had a super hard time getting my two hands to move separately. I'm working on _Dark Night of the Soul_ by Philip Wesley because it speaks to me so much, but I really need to work on my hands moving separately and having different timing. Idk, maybe it's easy for some people, but it's insanely hard for me.

Don't ever quit... I know a friend that is self-taught and he can't read music sheets... he plays any song by just hear them with 0.5sec delay on the headphone. He told me he just had to memorize each key sound, practise the scales. He taught me and I already can land some parts of songs doing the same. But everyone has their best way for learning piano.

I've been rewatching this video for years and it's lost none of its glory for me. This is the best cover of this song I've ever heard. It's such a great song. Now I sing this song to my young kids who weren't born when I first saw this video. I'm going to show them this to inspire them to play piano. I play this for them on guitar. We have lots of instruments around the house so they can play whatever interests them. Music is my religion. Anyway, I'm rambling because I'm excited to have remembered this video and your channel!

menu Sweet Child O' Mine Guns N' Roses Original Tradução She's got a smile that it seems to me Reminds me of childhood memories Where everything was as fresh As the bright blue sky Now and then when I see her face She takes me away to that special place And if I stare too long I'd probably break down and cry Oh, oh! Sweet child o' mine Oh, oh, oh, oh! Sweet love of mine She's got eyes of the bluest skies As if they thought of rain I hate to look into those eyes And see an ounce of pain Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place Where as a child I'd hide And pray for the thunder and the rain To quietly pass me by Oh, oh! Sweet child o' mine Oh, oh, oh, oh! Sweet love of mine Oh, oh, oh, oh! Sweet child o' mine Ooh, yeah, eh Ooh! Sweet love of mine Where do we go? Where do we go now? Where do we go? Where do we go? Where do we go now? Where do we go now? Where do we go? (sweet child o' mine) Where do we go now? Where do we go? Where do we go? Where do we go now? Where do we go? Where do we go now? Where do we go? Where do we go now? Where do we go? Where do we go now? Now, now, now, now, now, now, now? Sweet child Sweet child o' mine

Spooky Stork Running Wild outright trivial. She usually transcribes the song by ear and then performs it in an evening. For someone who had to perform Balakirev's Islamay at age 15 this is very easy.

Incredible... just incredible._* And honestly, it's not really one of Guns 'N Roses best songs, IMHO. But... you have elevated it into the stratosphere. It's even BETTER (than the original version) coming from your keyboard! As a matter of fact, it almost sounds as if G 'N R covered YOUR song!

SHE IS HAVING TO PLAY THIS SO FAST TO KEEP UP WITH THE ORIGINAL TEMPO OF THE SONG THAT WAS ORIGINALY WRITTEN FOR MULTIPLE DIFFERENT INSTRUMENTS TO BE PLAYING THE INSIVIDUAL PARTS SEPERATELY AND THE LEAD SINGER AND BACKUP SINGERS ALSO HAVING THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL PARTS TO PLAY TO COMBINE TOGETHER TO MAKE THIS SONG. BY MY ESTIMATION, THIS PIANIST IS SIMULTANEOUSLY PLAYING AROUND 7 DIFFERENT PARTS IN THIS ARRANGEMENT OF SWEET CHILD OF MINE INSTRUMENTAL COVER ARRANGEMENT ORIGINALLY POPULARIZED BY GUNS & ROSES. THAT IS WHY SHE IS HAVING TO PLAY SO FAST THAT IT APPEARS THAT THE FILM HAS BEEN SPED UP GIVING HER AN ALMOST UNREAL BODY LANGUAGE WHILE PLAYING THIS PIECE. THIS IS ONE OF THE SINGLE MOST PHENOMENAL DEMONSTRATIONS OF HIGH LEVEL PIANO PLAYING GENIUS LEVEL TALENT THAT I HAVE EVER WITNESSED! BEYOND IMPRESSIVE BY ALL MEASURES!

bro not to downplay her talent, but this is pretty standard for piano playing. pianists always play multiple parts. being able to do that and keep the tempo is one of the primary challenges of the instrument and is achieved through practice and muscle memory. the arrangement is very good and faithful with the original, but it's not THAT difficult.
