This is so true! 😢 I learned piano by dropping in at my aunt's house. I was about 7 or 8 then. One day, we were strolling on the mall, my aunt & her daughter and my mum & me, and there was a piano on display. My aunt mentioned to my mum I was really good at piano. My mum turned to me and said, "Really? Well, show me and maybe I'll buy you a piano". But I, with my chronic anxiety problems, afraid of exhibiting myself at that place, vehemently shook my head no and denied I loved the piano 😭. Got my first piano when I was 20. Progressing steadily, but it could've been different 😅😅

@@tranhoanghuan I know these comments are from 5 years ago, but either way I agree with you. I come back to this video every once in a while for inspiration. Not only that, but musicians (real musicians like her, especially) have a lot of respect for other musicians. you know this shit is easier on the piano right?
@blegi12454 жыл бұрын
Spooky Stork Running Wild outright trivial. She usually transcribes the song by ear and then performs it in an evening. For someone who had to perform Balakirev's Islamay at age 15 this is very easy.

Spooky Stork Running Wild to be fair I think I play it better on piano than guitar but I have no fingers and am deaf as a dead person .

I've watched only a few of your videos so far, but you already got a new subscriber! I love how you take my favorite music genre (which is rock and it's sub-genre) and "translate" them onto my favorite instrument, the piano. And you're so good at it too! Keep up the good work!

I actually learned to play the song better by watching/listening to this video more than those overhead views with just the hands, the notes are more crisp in my ears

*_If I personally hadn't seen (and heard) this myself, I probably wouldn't have believed it could be done. Incredible... just incredible._* And honestly, it's not really one of Guns 'N Roses best songs, IMHO. But... you have elevated it into the stratosphere. It's even BETTER (than the original version) coming from your keyboard! As a matter of fact, it almost sounds as if G 'N R covered YOUR song!

The right hand melody keeper is gross motor, easier, and obvious. It caries the melody. You left hand is PHENOMENAL!!! I love to watch you work. Will you be coming to the states for a concert? I will be there. Love your work. Please, keep posting.

SHE IS HAVING TO PLAY THIS SO FAST TO KEEP UP WITH THE ORIGINAL TEMPO OF THE SONG THAT WAS ORIGINALY WRITTEN FOR MULTIPLE DIFFERENT INSTRUMENTS TO BE PLAYING THE INSIVIDUAL PARTS SEPERATELY AND THE LEAD SINGER AND BACKUP SINGERS ALSO HAVING THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL PARTS TO PLAY TO COMBINE TOGETHER TO MAKE THIS SONG. BY MY ESTIMATION, THIS PIANIST IS SIMULTANEOUSLY PLAYING AROUND 7 DIFFERENT PARTS IN THIS ARRANGEMENT OF SWEET CHILD OF MINE INSTRUMENTAL COVER ARRANGEMENT ORIGINALLY POPULARIZED BY GUNS & ROSES. THAT IS WHY SHE IS HAVING TO PLAY SO FAST THAT IT APPEARS THAT THE FILM HAS BEEN SPED UP GIVING HER AN ALMOST UNREAL BODY LANGUAGE WHILE PLAYING THIS PIECE. THIS IS ONE OF THE SINGLE MOST PHENOMENAL DEMONSTRATIONS OF HIGH LEVEL PIANO PLAYING GENIUS LEVEL TALENT THAT I HAVE EVER WITNESSED! BEYOND IMPRESSIVE BY ALL MEASURES!

@pcache Жыл бұрын
bro not to downplay her talent, but this is pretty standard for piano playing. pianists always play multiple parts. being able to do that and keep the tempo is one of the primary challenges of the instrument and is achieved through practice and muscle memory. the arrangement is very good and faithful with the original, but it's not THAT difficult.
